Yep,agreed on all accounts.:yep:good.If he betas Zuniga and Andrade then the sky is the limit.Only 23 fights remember.
Excellent fight for Bute to be taking at this point. Instead of fighting a bum he's taking on somebody that will pressure him and has some pop. That is what he needs to prepare for Andrade. It's difficult to rate Zuniga's chances too high if you watch the Inkin fight. They were both on short notice in that fight, and Zuniga did get his attention a few times, but Bute is better in most areas compared to the Russian. Still, I'm sure he took heart from Andrade's effort against Bute in a stylistic sense.
I think it pretty much sucks that Zuniga has to fight at 168 to get good fights. I don't think he has ever called for a rematch with Pavlik. He got screwed out of his shot at AA, and Sturm is . . . . . well . . . . Sturm.
Short notice as in he was going from fighting a stand up Hungarian boxer to fighting an aggressive power punching Colombian without much prep for that style. It's like apples and oranges. Zuniga had the misfortune of not being perfectly prepared physically, but at the same time he lost fairly easily.
I would like a Bute-Green fight but I'm afraid Allan Green will end up pricing himself out of any major fights he could be involve in. He sure has a big opinion of himself for a guy who never beat a top10 ranked fighter.
I only saw what was available on film - some six rounds of the fight, as selected by the German broadcaster - and the fight seemed pretty close to me. Zuniga certainly managed to hold his own, in any case. Whether that says more about Inkin's quality than about Zuniga's is another matter.
Yeah, probably a good thing that Bute is keeping a low profile and concentrating on the training and sparring. With the other good card around in Montreal, he might not get more than 12,000 coming to watch anyway, this time. Of course, if there will be a rematch against Andrade, if they both win their upcoming fights, then as many as 20,000 could conceivably come to see it in the flesh. What an atmosphere that would be!
I'll manage to be there, that's for sure. I like boxing on TV but once or twice a year, I love to see it live. It's another kind of experience. I hope next time the final begins a little earlier. It was past midnight and many people were yawning just before Bute-Andrade began, including myself. Maybe it was late for Bute too?
You're cheating on Green now? :nono You have more chances with Dirrell to prove something. Not now though, because he's still green (ha!) and unproven. Maybe in two years? If he can beat one or two real top 10 (Oganov doesn't count), he may diserve a shot.
Naw dude, Green is my #1 soildier at 168 and Dirrel is right behind him. Dirrell is a bad bad man and he would beat Bute, Froch, and Taylor right now. I agree, Oganov doesn't count, he's nothing but a punching bag. DIrrel would also beat the **** out of Andre Ward I know that. Look out for Green and Dirrell bruh.
It's easy to look good when you're fighting easy opposition. Come back to us after Dirrell has fought Bika, Berrio or Andrade. Bute looked like a God earlier in his career when he was fighting top20-30 type of guys. When you step up to top5 or top10. There are no easy fights.
I like Dirrel. I'm not knocking him. In fact I'm interested in keeping tack of him. However, he is a long way from being the finished product. If you want to see where he is REALLY at right now, watch Zuniga/Oganov, and Dirrel/Oganov back to back.
