    This was from David Haye a while back during negotiations....

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``
    British heavyweight boxer David Haye could fight both Klitschko brothers as part of a sensational two-for-one contract being thrashed out by lawyers. Speaking to Setanta Sports News Haye admitted that the two-for-one contract was “being talked about”. He said:
    “To be number one in the world, to be the undisputed champion, I feel I’ve got to beat both of them anyway. That’s not a problem. I want to fight both of them. It’s down to the lawyers now.”
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    STRAIGHT FROM DAVID HAYE'S OWN MOUTH!

    Do you guys now understand that this is something that Haye wanted? Haye himself is the one who wanted shots at both of the Klitschkos. Stop acting like it was some crazy clause put into the contract. The Klitschko brothers are giving Haye an opportunity to become the Undisputed Champion of the division by granting him a shot at the WBC, IBF, WBO, IBO titles... which would also lead to a Ring Magazine Championship Title if he were to win against them. The deal was simple even according to Haye's manager. If Haye beat Wlad, then obviously Wlad would get a rematch. If Haye beat Wlad again then Haye would be given a shot at Vitali and the WBC title as well. THIS IS WHAT DAVID HAYE WANTS! Why on earth wouldn't he? 3 huge fights, 3 huge paydays and a chance to become the undisputed Champion of the division.

    David Haye wanted this scenario which is why he agreed to it. Stop acting like this was some sort of problem as far as getting this fight done. This part of the contract was agreed to on BOTH sides.

    This just proves that David Haye was never serious about fighting either Wlad or Vitali. The guy is nothing more than a windbag who is a legend in his own mind.

  3. Yeh thats exactly what it proves :patsch

    Have you anything to say about Haye getting Shafer to reignite negotiations ?

    Haye said that he would agree to a contract to fight both Klitschkos.

    What K2 want to insert in the contract is open options on Hayes two subsequent fights, which they could stipulate to be against anyone at all.

    That's not at all the same thing.

  5. Id rather see Wlad fight Arreola:deal Arreola would give either Klitchko a harder fight than glass chin Haye anyways..
    Typical fighter nowadays they all talk ****-trash, but when it comes time to face a serious challenge, 90% of them wimp out like little ****s.

    Arreola is a waste of time. You might as well have said you'd prefer to watch Wladimir masturbate.

    I understand that.

    What I have problems with is the clause that requires him to vacate both titles if he is enforced with a mandatory before getting a shot at Vitali Klitschko.

    This mean's Haye wouldn't be able to unify the IBF, WBO & WBC titles together at any one time.

    That is what David Haye wants. The only mandatory that could be enforced on him would be the IBF. Do you honestly believe that Haye would put off a fight against Vitali to defend against Povetkin? HELL NO! Let alone the fact that the IBF would most likely give him an extension for the unification fight. Let's not forget that Povetkin would also be FAST to agree to step-aside and let Haye fight Vitali with the promise to then get a shot at the winner and the undisputed Champion. That would ALSO be the best case scenario for Povetkin.

    Even if Haye was stripped of the IBF... do you honestly think that he would give a ****?:lol: The man would be considered the Undisputed Champion of the division.

    None of this matters anyways, because Haye won't be making it past Wlad.:D

    Obviously you and Haye's manager aren't on the same page. Booth said in that quote that THOSE ARE THE OPTIONS THAT THEY REQUESTED!

    Why are they trying to get control over the whole situation though?

    If Haye beats Wlad, then let him sort negotiations with Vitali himself, let him decide whether he should fight his mandatory or not.

    It shouldn't be up to Wlad's team.

    They're trying to pull the strings even if he's not going to be champ anymore. All there doing is trying to dictate Haye's future for him. Let him and Booth decide who they fight and when they fight them, not team Klitschko.

    Two matches against the Klitschkos not the same as K2 having open options on two Haye fights against whoever they choose.

    Not a complicated point.

    Who cares? Either Klitschko will destroy the glass-jawed Haye in a couple of rounds. Jeez, this guy can't even take the shots of old cruisers and supermiddles. All he's doing is postponing his rendezvous with the canvas! :nod

    No Widdow, whats bull**** is that you and others on this site are claiming that Haye brings nothing more than anyother challenger to the table when Haye and Booth have said that they bring nearly $2mill more to the table than Arreloa would and that they were giving up their fee to Wlad, all they were asking in return is the UK rights.
