Tendler - fought from bantam through to welter taking on Walker at welter (Dropped a decision). Known as a bit of a technician at the time, he feared no-one. All action style. Great fighter. Here he is mixing with Benny Leonard.

Yoko Gushiken - The Eagle, an ATG at light-fly. Pressure boxer known for his great southpaw jab. Sweet Pea is the man to ask about this dude. I'd say either the first or second most popular fighter in Japaneese history.

Bert Lytell - Borderline great fighter, beat an ageing Burley, Cocoa Kid, Oakland Billy Smith was unluckly to drop a decision to LaMotta.

In a significance sense Michael Moorer deserves a mention. First southpaw Heavyweight champion. Also had an under appreciated run at LHW

    I think Moorer would def make a 25, probably a 20.

Why do u see his run at lhw as underappreciated mate? I think he is a vastly overrated lhw purely on account of his later achievements above the weight (in a similar way to Shane Mosley at lw, though I think Mosley was a better lw than Moorer was a lhw). I mean, why should the comp he beat be appreciated more than it is? I think it's overappreciated if anything.

I rarely see him mentioned as a top LHW. At 175 under Steward he was extremely good. Busy, technically sound, heavy handed and was physically big and imposing. I think he stacks up very well head to head at 175. I feel that people look at 21-0 with 21kos and a WBO belt and start to question his opponents without actually looking at MMs performances which i feel are impressive

But Moorer was a converted Southpaw, and natural right handed person.

Tyrone Everett and Bert Lytell anyone?

EDIT: Just seen McGrain mentioned Lytell.

I think Everett was on his way to become a great southpaw.
