Wouldn't he see this as too high risk? Mosley came into his last fight weighing 160 pounds and he KO'd the number one welterweight in the world. He's old but he has stamina, speed, skill and power and he hasn't shown any signs of being washed up like Hoya did that gave Freddie the confidence to put Manny against him. What is Roach thinking?
:good Wow. I agree with Dinamita. Pacquiao has not yet proven to be able to take a full blooded shot from a Lightweight yet let alone a 147lb fighter who just cracked one of the hardest chins in World Boxing.
I'd favor Shane in this fight..I know Pac is the best in the world but Shane has a lot to offer to any fighter from 154 on down...Shane is the better "natural fighter" IMO...Shane is also in the same league as Pac when it comes to handspeed...footspeed advantage would go to Pac but its not a HUGE advantage cuz Shane isn't slow by any means..I'd take Shane by KO.. To answer the question as to why Freddy wouldn't mind Pac fighting Shane...Freddy may feel Pac is the better fighter at this point...
PAC is looking to retire after this year that is why he is after the biggest money fights available doesn't matter if he wins or loses.
Coach Roach The Joke is cashing out on Manny. It's good for both Manny and Roach because Manny is closing in on his career and they should make as much $$$$$$ as they can.
Mosley would walk Pacquiao down and brutally stop him. Mosley is a guy who loves to go for the knockout, has a very sold chin, great stamina, terrific speed... it is hell for the smaller Pacquiao. I would bet on this fight heavily as a stoppage victory for Mosley.
He's obviously past his best but Oscar looked like **** against Forbes while Shane looked great against Margo. Oscar looked shot against Manny while Shane looks far from it, he's one of the top welters in the world, Oscar was a part time fighter. There's a big difference between just past your best and totally washed up.
damn u guys sound like Rocky's wife when he fought the Russian. I think Pac would be at a power disadvantage ,but the hand speed and foot movement at this stage i would go with Pac. Remember Mosley has never been a master boxer he has always been a boxer puncher who loves to mix it up,Pac would not trade he would move in and out against the bigger man While an underdog he definitely has a very good chance
because again he thinks Manny can win. Hopefully he thought of this very thoroughly. Get his retirement pay maybe?
