Can any of the UK gents here on the forum help shed some light on this and Jennings basic movements inside the ring? There's a bit of sparring footage of him on youtube mixed in with some of the press this last week - but no fights. Michael seemed to be backing up quite a bit and doing alot of moving. Is this about what we can expect this Saturday?
From what I heard Jennings say a while back was that he was going to pressure Cotto like Margie did and that he will knock Cotto out....that he isn't superman. I think Jennings is in for a rough night Saturday.
jennings is a decent fight but not on the world stage. he's going to get hammered and thats all there is too it.
They showed two rounds of Jennings last fight on SKY. Thats' all you need to know. Cotto will destroy him.
Interesting. That would be alot more advisable if he wants to have any success. Backing up is gonna get him Quintana'd or worse. Even someone like Urkal managed to make it to the late rounds virtually unhurt by answering Cotto every time and launching forward with constant burts of attack. If Jennings tries to run it's going to be a very rough night - but likely rough either way, agreed, C. :rofl
He's a boxer not a pressure fighter, he will counter Cotto rather than him doing a Margarito. He's very underated in my opinion but Miguel should win on points.
He's not a Lockett mate, he's a natural Welterweight whilst Lockett was a blown up Light-Middleweight!
I've seen Cotto hurt more times than I have Jennings, Michael's a smart fighter and the fight will be like Malignaggi/Cotto.
Lets be honest mate. You're saying he can last the distance because your a Brit. :good Jennings is a domestic level, maybe european level fighter at best. He has no business being in the ring with Miguel Cotto.
