It has nothing to do with being a Brit but Cotto's not a monster and has been hurt many times in the past. Lockett lasted 2 or 3 rounds, I bet Jennings will still be around late into the fight.
To Jennings Cotto IS a monster and Jennings does'nt have the power to bother Cotto at all. Cotto has fought in WAY, WAY better class. Is jennings ready to take a HUGE step up in class against Miguel Cotto? I don't think so. In fact i know he is'nt.
Ok, but boxers and movers suit Cotto, generally speaking, and there don't seem to be many exceptions to that. I don't dismiss your viewpoint, however, as there's alot more to these things than just what I've asked you. Good look on the info.
I know he hasn't fought in Cotto's class but that doesn't mean he's gonna get killed. Jennings is a big underdog but lets give him a chance.
Jennings lost to young mutley, and his best win is against takaloo. I think he'll do as good as gomez did. no more, no less.
Jennings was lined up to face Paul Williams until he moved up in weight, Cotto's style suits Michael better than the punisher.
I'd say that's a HUGE problem. If Jennings thinks he's going to touch Cotto and slide he's crazy. And little power too?? There's absolutely no way Jennings is going to be able to get cute. I hope Jennings watched the Quintana, Judah, and Mosley fights and learned something. Excellent boxers can't beat Cotto boxing. That's an unbelievably stupid plan if this is what Team Jennings has in mind. One step back against Cotto is stupid. No point in even showing up unless he wants to go after Cotto and fight, fight, fight.
What is that you see about Cotto's style? The lunging? The resetting? His vulnerability to overhand rights?
Mosley & Judah traded with Cotto & that's why they got beat. Michael will fight on the backfoot & counter Cotto instead.
