same here.on the grapevine i have heard pretty bad tings about Ken,regarding the drink .

 

i heard he did some unlicensed boxing..or bareknuckle some years back...that right?

 

yeh he did,early 80's i think.

I remember he said he was getting paid £1,000. Some guy heard it on the news and offered him £2,000 not to fight.

Gordon Taylor might be a twat but the way he's got the PFA looking after ex-footballers is an object lesson.

 

yeah a fund for retired boxers that can be given in secret to whoever needs it is a great idea. i feel embarassed for the sport sometimes the way former fighters (great or not) are treated.

a campaign on this would do no harm at all. promoters top fighters, collections are all viable means
