We don't wanna know about Clinton Woods, we don't wanna hear about George Groves and Michael McGuire, We don't wanna hear about Pavlik vs Rubio, we don't wanna hear about Darren Barker. we wanna know what, why and how the Jennings vs Cotto farce has happenend within the first 5 minutes of the show, and how Setanta is going to make up this joke to the boxing subsribers. (We want JM Marquez vs Diaz, Wright vs Williams, Klitscko vs Gomez confirmed by the end of the month) It would seriously not suprise me of there 250 of people in Chorley that have subscribed just to see this fight. I myself had organised for a mate to come round to watch the fight, we were going to stay up, i could have played football saturday morning but turned down the game as i new i would of had no sleep. we want a full explanation. no apolagy, no "these things happen". Its all to do with $$$$$$$ Setanta are unlikely to have the same pulling power as Sky because they wont have the same cash. I suppose they could charge us 30 odd quid a month instead and put most of the fights on PPV then they would have the csh to make all the fights happen on their channel. Im happy to sacrifice the odd fight here and there if it means the cost stays low for us. Setanta is still value for money imo.
I agree I think Setanta do a great job, its easy for us here to moan about not getting fights etc etc but it has to make business sense, they have to see weigh up how much a fights gonna cost and if its gonna do good ratings here in the UK. I think it is a real shame if a big fight involving a British fighter isn't shown though (i.e Jennings and Cotto) but its not Setanta's fault. For £12.99 you still cant complain compared to Sky etc.

in most cases eg marquez v diaz its to do with the dollar signs. but in the cotto case i reckon its not to do with money really. its more to do with warren , sky and setanta and the way the contracts are all interwined. its just a shame that it looks like we will be missing out on this fight. setanta i reckon want to show the fight. but they cant either because of warren , sky , the contracts or all three combined. sky it looks like have no interest in the fight , the same way they have no interest in any americans fights unless its hatton or de la hoya involved.
How about they don't wanna pay substantial bucks only for Jennings to get embarrassed by a vastly superior opponent? Having said that, it was a good laugh watching the same thing happen with Hatton and Mayweather
truly blame top rank and warren! Setanta paid for a package deal with top rank, so we deserve the full card! Arum is the one promoting the show so he should give the green light to setanta etc!
im not having a go at them for not showing the fight, I am having a go at them for advertising the fight and then not showing it.
It's not a done deal yet. Poster number one get back in your pram for a couple of hours because people do want to see Groves, Maguire, Woods, hear from Barker, hear from Loew, hear from Stracey, hear from Enzo Calzaghe before his first show and find out from a list of over 3,000 who has won the Fantasy Fight comp.
