    1. being irish the first fight i remember seeing was barry mcguigan's last fight v jim mcdonnell. i was eight.

    2 the fights that got me into boxing properly were frank bruno v oliver mccall and steve collins v chris eubank. they were on within a week of each other. and i've watched as much boxing as i can ever since. i suppose i could credit steve collins for getting me into boxing. also watched michael currath in the 92 olympic final.

    had to get fights like benn v eubank on dvd as i did not have itv or bbc when i was younger.

    I'd have to say Prince Naseem's early fights and lennox' later ones.

    I remember being ringside at the John L Sullivan vs James J Corbett fight, i was only 6 at the time but i remember it like it was yesterday. But Jack Johnson was my idol

  13. I come from a very boxing-orientated family so it's hard to pick one moment out.

    Things that stuck in my mind as a kid;

    Benn's 20-odd fight knockout rampage, local lad Paul Hodkinson winning the WBC Strap (and then appearing on Wogan with the belt in tow), McCulloch crying to 'Oh Danny Boy'.

    I can remember seeing Benn/Eubank fights first I think, can remember seeing both Benn Collins fights too, then the Naz era and some Robin Reid, Bruno/Mccall, Tyson/Bruno 2, Calzaghe/Eubank fights got me really into boxing.

    I'd have to defintely say though it was Nigel Benn, obviosuly cos I was quite young I didnt know the most and didnt see all his fights around that time but I remember being absolutley gutted when he lost to collins.
