I know a few of your guys know Gomez and Burns, just wondered if it was still on for 27th March.

Noticed that the BBBOC notices that came out the other day left it out of the mention for fights already made and it mentioned the other Commonwealth straps.

    Anyone know anything for definite?

    Cheers

ok heres what i think. Gomez looked good early agaisnt Khan and Johanesson but then faded. after 4-5 rounds. allot of people put this down to stanima, which is probably true.

the thing is khan is very accurate, fast and throws allot of punches. hes not a huge puncher but he is a big puncher. Johanesson is also a big puncher. those big punches hitting gomez will have before slowed him down.

one thing burns is not is big a puncher, so Gomez should be able to bring the heat for a few more rounds and maybe pick up a KO

Kevin Anderson v Barrie Jones for the Celtic which was orgininally on the BBBoC notices has also disapeared.
I'm presuming that's been scratched altogether.

Kenny anderson v Steve mcguire for the celtic will be a good scrap, mcguire has to win or he is pretty ****ed and Anderson wont even think about defeat so they will both be up for it, I'd go with Anderson by KO.

Burns v Gomez will be a good one to, it's looking good, hopefully they get Arthur a decent guy and that will be 3 good fights on the go.

Safe bet ! The punchers chance etc. This one could possibly have it all. I do think this. This fight has Gomez's name stamped, regarding the heat too. Basically, i am seeing a fight of the year already.

I am on the fence, i know both fighters well enough , telly/paper wise etc.

I aint betting ma house on either, cheeky flimsy either way :yep

I think Burns will win on points but like yourself i'm not betting on it, mind Burns has a decent chin he did go the distance with Arthur.

Burns will hammer Gomez, the wee man isnt the anywhere near as good as when he pumped Arthur. Although I do see Gomez giving Burns problems for a few rounds, after that it will be all Burns for a late stoppage
