Cotto vs Bob Arum

Miguel Cotto does not seem very happy with the support he is giving Margarito. Should he abadon Top Rank???:huh

 

Hell yes. As soon as he gets the chance. They are treating Marg as if he did nothing wrong and rewarding him with fights outside the country rather than have him face a stiff punishment. I agree with Cotto's point of view completely. Marg should be suspended period. Including outside the country.

Bob Arum is about making money. Does Cotto need a father figure or a promoter who will get him big fights and make him money? Of course arum is gonna back Margo, Margo is still a top welter, a very exciting fighter and can make him money.

 

His contract is up december 09. When asked that if he sees himself with a different promoter in 2010 he said definitely.

the only fighter at gbp that gets rich is the golden boy himself. when barrera and jmm fought, barrera got only $1.2m while jmm about $600k. hopkins doesn't earn that much now even when he fought calzaghe and pavlik. shane probably just got about 1m for his fight w/ margo and less against cotto.

it is only hatton a new gbp fighter who will earn in the millions since he was already getting this amount even before signing up w/ gbp.

cotto will definitely earn more if he stays w/ top rank rather than go to gbp. schaefer and dlh keep the money to themselves. that's why pac joined top rank rather than gbp. arum offered him a better deal while gbp didn't make a counter offer to match or even exceed arum's. gbp just took pac to court to try to enforce their original smaller deal.

 

Yes he should leave that snake Arum. Arum will say or do anything he's not to be trusted.

I think Varg was right.....Arum thinks Cotto is damaged goods now and is
treating him like sh!t.

 

Margarito gave him a brutal beating but Cotto is a very tough guy and I think he is gonna look very good against Jennings

 

it seems like his relationship is damaged beyond repair with arum but arum still stands to make him the most money. i dont see him in the GB stable. i just wish he would man up and pick some of his own fights instead of taking backwards steps.."i fight who they tell me to fight" crap is getting old.

boxing fans need unification bouts in WW division we dont wanna see cotto fight some scrub to celebrate to puerto rican day parade. we pay $ we deserve better
