Fight action on Bunce's Boxing Hour

Steve Bunce's Boxing Hour will feature three previously unaired fights this Thursday on Setanta Sports News.

Clinton Woods's make-or-break light-heavyweight win over Elvir Muriqi will be highlighted as the 36-year-old returned from a 10-month absence to get his career back on track after the defeat to Antonio Tarver.
Footage of the Sheffield fighter's points victory will be screened on our popular show along with Michael Maguire's victory over Fayael Messaundene and George Groves's third-round win against Romanic Hignard.
The Hayemaker 4 card took place in Bethnal Green and this will be a first chance for fight fans to see the action involving the two up-and-coming boxers from the David Haye stable.

A TV deal was not in place - the fights will not be shown in full. Brief highlights only.

    Adios.

watched the fights already on YouTube....groves needs to stop mimicking haye ,it will lead to him getting sparked ...didn't box that way in the Am's he looked foolish....mcguire looks exciting ...but as soon as he boxes a mover he will get shown up ...remember Luke campbell boxing his head of in the abas made easy work of mcguire and the lads a wee bit chinny.

    Amen to that.

Setanta is the dog's balls as far as I am concerned.

Setanta can't show everyfight live/on delay. They are going a great job and we see most of the big fights from America. I remember a few years ago we hadly got any fights. It is still a crime no one ever showed the 3 Vasquez - Marquez fights.

OK, I accept your point but as a box fan I feel like a second class citizen. I have discussed the football coverage with my mates who have signed up only for the football, and the all confirm that they only watch Premiership and FA Cup matches, even though Setanta shows loads of European Leagues.

If they dropped the Dutch, Portoguese and French Football coverage to save a bit from their budget would their be an outcry?

Anything saved on Football could pay for some more fights/

Do we not think that the witch hunt of Bunce is going a bit far. There is peopl 'calling him out' on other threads. At the end of the day this situation, the Olympian tv deals etc is not with in his control.

i dont mind reading what he has to say and peoples qurestions it just seem recently ppl seem to want to have a go.

I agree fully. It isn't like Big Steve owns setanta.

He's a boxing fan like the rest of us of course he'd like every fight to be on tv (so he can sky+ the ones he doesn't see live) but he isn't god.

    Give the man a break.
