I like it when there are lots of "good" fights on PPV, but usually the undercards are boring. I hope it will be a great night of boxing.

Thanks hermit, i just might do that.:thumbsup

Y-town is crazy for this fight--every channel has something to do with it. Loew was on local T.V. last night saying that rubios days are numbered and that his enourage that keeps talking smack against pavlik is only going to make the beating that pavlik gives rubio worse.

    Loew loves to talk smack.

loew really has no business talking trash...it's not his head getting hit. In my opinion, Pavlik should get a much more professional trainer...one that can develop his talent.

Rubio's only chance to win this fight is if he catches Pavlik early. Pavlik usually uses the first round as a "feeling-out" round. Rubio should jump right on him and throw the straight right hand often during the first round.

Ya you're right. Kelly needs a trainer who can develop his talents. What he really needs is a guy who can take a skinny, pale faced, 9 year old kid, and turn him into a a world champion! Oh wait . . . . somebody already did that.

Name one ****ing fight, other than BHop, where Pavlik came out slow and used the first round for a "feeling out" round. I'll wait.

Jack was low key until Rubio and his people started talking "secret plan", "Loew better not have quit his day job",........

Look at what Pavlik and Loew were saying leading up to the Taylor fight/fights. He was paying respect to Taylor. "Jermain is a great champion", "It is an honor to be able to fight Jermain for the title"......

Jack and Kelly believe the champ deserves respect.Rubio and his team saying they will knock him out, blah, blah, blah goes against what they believe and , IN DEED, practiced themselves. Yeah, Jack has a short fuse for this kind of thing. Kelly and him paid their dues AND THEIR RESPECT on the way up and feel they deserve the same. Not hard to figure this one out.

Jermain Taylor (first fight), Gary Lockett, JL Zerutche, F Zuniga...this is what he does. Again, this is in context with his overall performance. His first rounds might look very active compared to Kostya Tszyu or Wlad Klitschko, but for a fighter with his output, it is his most docile round.

Don't get me wrong, i am a fan of the ghost. i just am not sure that Jack can effectively fill the holes, so to speak, in kelly fight game.

I also realize that Rubio's camp is not showing Kelly the respect he deserves. That is their plan. They want kelly to react unprofessionally in and out of the ring.

Okay -- I agree it usually takes KP 2-4 rounds to really hit full stride. I tought you were saying he is a slow starter. He's not. At his best he'll throw 100 punches in a round. Slow for Kelly is 60 punches, so I get what you mean. It's all relative.

yup...for a fighter who fights staight ahead, this is how difficult an opponent Kelly is. Rubio doesn't fight at angles like B-hop, never has, never will. I was just pointing out that this is Rubio best window to land a good shot. Tall order for Rubio, but don't count him out. Unilke kelly, MAR's best rounds are his first, second, and third.

I hope Kelly and Jack realize this.

Seriously, if Rubio becomes middleweight champ I will substitute the my avatar for the new god amongst Marco Antonios...until the destruction of Khan, anyway. :yep
