    I don't think so. He's been winning his fights rather comfortably. His win over Ding a Ling was shocking.

    I missed last night's episode. Hoye didn't put up a challenge?

    Also tbh I'm surprised Laleye went the distance (even though 5 rounds is not much of a "distance"...in a ten rounder I'd think Ross would knock him out, of course that's without having seen the fight...)

    No, Hoye didn't. I think he lost 50-45, 50-45 and 48-47.

    And i agree, given AKs tendency to be macho SOB, he would've been KOed by Ross in 10.

    Anyone seen Hino vs Hoye?

    Hino has been impressive so far, that is the only fight of his I missed (ironically, it was the semi-final).

    Hoye did make it to the final 4, and beat Godfrey's promising brother in the process.

    From what I've seen of him in the past, this short fight format does help him a bit. Before declaring him a force, I'd want to make sure he can actually go 12 rounds without either gassing out or having a completely lethargic workrate.

    I would like to watch a show like this, however this specific Contender is just unbearable. I don't know how you guys can handle it. It's so DULL and repetitive with "special" sound effects to make the fights look better.

    The packaging of the fights does suck. The finals will be live and unedited though. :good Should be a good ten round scrap (Ross is the justified favorite but I don't think he'll put Hino away).

    unfortunately they are still editing the fights, so its really hard to tell.. but hino looked good, he was just to fast for hoye.. the speed difference was really the key point..

    its funny that both the guys from nigeria has an attitude.. one being macho and the other trying to do his best hollywood impression..
