In the upper weight classes. Lets say LHW and up or so. Langford and Barbados Joe are unbelievably well known names that I don't need to hear fifteen times in the span of an hour. The second tier of extremely successful heavyweights that are on the shorter side are Tyson, Tua and Frazier. At LHW, Qawi was all of 5'5 and a half. Maybe the best strictly LHW example of a short and yet extremely succesful fighter.
Tom Sharkey and Tommy Burns were short for heavyweights. Although he wasn't short Marciano had little T Rex arms his reach was only 67" Cristian Mijares has longer arms. Also Mickey Walker was also short and had success at light heavy and heavyweight.
Yeah, Tyson's a part of the small heavyweight club really. It's weird how you can be "short" in that division to a point and it's really not a hindrance at all.
pascual perez at 4ft 11ins -thats short even for a flyweight dwight qawi at 5ft 6ins is another one marciano had short legs as well as arms -what a puncher
