Could anyone who ever fought at 130-140 have stopped Chavez?

:rofl:lol: It's puzzling how a stoppage win over Margarito would cause to believe that, considering your low opinion on Margarito.

Arguello is the first name that comes to mind for me too...but still not too sure about it.

You do realize that this also describes Mosley coming forward against Chavez right?

Let me guess. You think Mosley out-classes Chavez?

It's about styles dumbass. Shane is equipped to go to war with a fighter like JCC. Too bad your limited ability to break down fights and analyze match ups prevents you from seeing this. You bought into Margo for crying out loud you couldn't recogonize real talent if it hit you in the ****ing face.

I don't see why Mosley stopping Chavez is so far out of the question. Tremendous handspeed, solid power and cominbation punching, terrific chin... Mosley would be one of my picks for this one. Yes, it likely goes to the cards, but I would pick Mosley if anyone at 135lbs to get this job done.

I watched them both in their primes and I never understood why Mosley left LW so fast. Everyone is forgetting or did not mention how great of a body puncher Mosley was at 135. He jumped up and past 140 to get to Oscar. Chavez also a great body puncher and no he was not just a come forwasd fighter. I did not like him, but I respected his skills. Of course a Chavez and Mosely fighter would be competitive. I don't see anyone stopping him in a fantasy match. I could see some beating him, but not stopping him.

I wouldn't disagree but I would not count Chavez out and to say that it would be a walk in the park for Mosley is plain moronic.

No its my ability to look at the styles match up and see that Shane holds the styles advantage here at 135.

What would Chavez have working in his favor in this match up? Mosley is bigger, stronger and faster. Throws rapid fire combinations and can slug it out if he has to. Mosley also has a rock solid chin aswell.

How do you invision Chavez being competitive?

Just a thought, if this fight did take place at 135, would Mosley have been prepared mentally for a fight of this magnatude. Remember, he did not stay long. I have to admit that he could have a chance, but just that, a chance. Chavez had a steel chin.

it was just funny that you said exactly what mosley said, yet you've also been quoted saying you aint even a mosley fan...so obviously you never followed his career....

anyways, i'm one to think that shane would go punch for punch and blow for blow with chavez, but no way will he hurt him....the body work chavez use to invest would make mosley think twice about throwing anything, and knowing the heart mosley has, it'll probably lead to a stoppage....look up a prime mosley, he was never really a body puncer, he has always been a head first type of power boxer.....

Everything you said is correct, but Chavez always came in with a great gameplan for all of his opponents. Pressure, cutting off the ring, hitting you down stairs and up stairs, and that left hook. Remember, I mentioned I did not like Chavez, but respected his skills. So many times I thought this guy will get him and he proved me wrong. He fought so many different styled fighters. Again, Shane and Chavez would be a barn burner.
