Better boxer doesn't automatically make you the best fighter. JMM's skills are undeniable but to be the best fighter you have to have more than just that. It's a combination of everything... athleticism, heart, chin, stamina and other intangibles makes up the best fighters.

Speaking of heart, Juan Manuel Marquez got up from three first round knockdowns to pull out a draw. Talk about "boggling the logic of boxing purists".

You make a good point, however. I still feel Juan holds the advantages in the majority of categories, but this is no slight on Pacquiao or his fans. It is razor thin, and like I said, there is simply no argument about who is the more accomplished fighter. Manny Pacquiao achieved something extraordinary by moving up to 147 and being successful. I hope he does not fight there again, however.

Imagine if pac didn't have the chin or the heart and athleticism against JMM's excellent arsenal of skills, he would have been KOed. :deal

he does have heart.. everybody knows that. :good

Style wise he has a very big advantage and most of the time in boxing thats what matters most... if pac was a lesser fighter he woulod have been KTFO.

like i said JMM's stlye will always make pac look bad. Although i do see some improvements in pac's style at present.

I wouldn't call it an upset if ricky wins though... Pac may be P4P no. 1 but ricky is the true jr. ww.

Don't talk about something you have no idea about, Enzo. That means don't speak about anybody other Manny Pacquiao.

actually bro, it is not just pac who looks bad when ranged against jmm.
counterpunchers, like the expert that JMM is will make brawlers, straight up fighters etc look bad.

have you ever noticed that most fights, do not have counter punchers vs. counterpunchers. pbf vs dlh was one and look how boring it was.

fighters like pac are risktakers, hence, bigger risk bigger rewards. fighters like JMM are the opposite hence, while he may have significant success as a fighter but acclaim, legacy and money fights will never be within easy grasp.

this is where MAB, Pac and EM are ahead of him. the reckless fighting attitude that fans love to watch.

You're seeling Juan very short in that post.

It was he who initiated nearly all of the exchanges in his fabulous fight with Marco Antonio Barrera. He is an exciting fighter - albeit a scientific one.

and your selling jmm to high based on that fight alone. and do remember he got KD on the fight.

sure he had his moments there but the MAB who fought JMM i think is only 70% of what he was.

i am talking about JMM in a cumulative manner, from his fights with pac, jaca, barrera etc. as a fighter, jmm has always been a counter puncher and does not stalk/pursue their opponents like EM or pac.
