The big fight in the early hours - Stay up late or Sky+ it

In the good old days (pre-kids) I use to plan my late night boxing with military precision. A long kip in the afternoon, take away, booze, coffee, choclate, but still felt like a zombie the next day.

Now days I Sky+ it and usually fast forward through the padding and watch the fights over breakfast.

Does the big fight fan still stay up?

I am 41, been a fan since Hagler seeing beat Minter. I agree with you about the buzz. I used to PPV drinking nights with all me mates, but try explaining this to the Mrs the next morning when your fit for nothing

I'll be staying up. I normally go to bed for a few hours, set the alarm, then get up just before the show starts. Great weekend of boxing ahead. Really hope Jennings can give a good account of himself. Just going the distance would be a huge achievement.

    Same here - boxing breakfast

Don't see the point in wrecking my sunday when I can just V+ it and watch it the moment I wake up

Though I usually wake up early, like a kid on xmas morning

I'm an Everton fan heading up to Newcastle for the weekend, so it's getting Sky+'d and I'll avoid the result.

Problem is, because Sky have switched the bloody game to 4pm on the Sunday I won't get back home (London now) until about midnight. So I'll be watching all this boxing until about 3am Monday morning.

I'm dead worried Sky + won't work. I also can't relax when I'm avoiding a result. Especially as one of my pals is on his iPhone every 5 minutes.

I wouldn't risk sky+ anything on setanta, it's an absolute **** bag of a service.

I sky+'d the Vic fight, came to watch it and it said I couldn't, because of 'no signal'. ****s.
