It will be on from 10.00pm. This means we can all watch the proper boxing on ITV4 first then switch over later for the series of quick knock outs

I wonder is Warren is asking too much money for the rights, or TV just isn't that interested? or both?

I think a combination of both. As someone on here alluded to yesterday though, I think these olympians lack that star appeal sadly.

You're probably right Dan, theres no one with a real "angle" or charisma.

Maybe that's not such a bad thing though. Hopefully they won't be ruined with Khan/Audley style hype and, if they are the real deal, their talent will get them to where they need to be.

I think if I was a TV exec I'd sit it out for a few fights and see which ones are worth the money and then pay a bit extra for their fights rather than pay for all 4 "up front".

This is something I've spoken about in the past, perhaps lessons have finally been learnt. The TV companies are reluctant to get their fingers burnt again, so won't over commit to some unproven fighters. This is the right approach because it means the existing fighters, in theory, won't get overlooked because there's no budget left for them.

I think DeGale does have charisma. The others are just kids.

The problem is they aren't Asian or 17 years old. The fights were hidden away on BBC interactive, and furthermore they are now going to be on Sky.

It's a fantastic night for prospects with Stephen Smith also on that undercard.

I wish one of the terrestrial channels had of picked them up. When khan got was getting shown on ITV1 it brought boxing to the forefront and gained new fans to the sport. It got casual fans interested again. People not only talked about khan but the fighters on he’s card as well
