I really cant believe people are taking this seriously!

I see the point about heavyweights being bigger nowadays and better conditioned but if Ali could knock out George Foreman he would run rings round Klitschko!

Exactly , Ali fought plenty of big stong guys.

and if Wlad ran away form Sultan " the bin man " Abragimov, what the **** is he going to do with Ali.

Assuming Frazier got past the first three rounds I would pick him to whip Wlad too !

Don't you mean you couldn't care less? Meaning you care so little you couldn't care any less. Saying you could care less, just means you care.

Absolute gibberish. Name me a fighter today who's better than Leonard. Have they suddenly started evolving third arms?

In lower weight classes there is a weight limit *duh!* Thus the fighters of now and of then cannot be too different since they have the same weight.
In heavyweight there isn't so fighters indeed will get taller and heavier.

Already now 90% of Wlad's fights are taking place against 215+ opponents. Maybe in 40 years the limit will be 250 lbs.

How dare you besmirch the name of Muhmmad Ali! Everyone knows he's a god here on ESB, and that it takes truly great fighters like Trevor Berbick to slay the Undisputed All Time Best Fighter Ever!

He didn't say heavyweights or indeed anything to do with weight. I've had to point out to you things like this several times on this thread, mostly with your own points when you've said something then twisted it around in a response. He said fighters nowadays are better and that they are evolving. I would like to know how. I'd also like to point out that your point about heavyweights weghing more can be challenged, granted the Klitschko brothers and Valuev are very tall and heavy but the majority of modern heavyweights who weigh a little more than heavies in the 70's or 80's but are the same or around the same height are fat or at least flabby, heavier yes but OVERweight. There are exceptions like Briggs who is blatantly on steroids.

Average weight 204 lbs. As strong as you can be with 204 lbs.
That's 10 lbs lighter than Chris Byrd.

Chuck Wepner 35-14, not really worthy of a title defense; don't ya think? But, of course, he boxed in the 1970s, so that automatically makes him 'great,' right?

Yes, he didn't and your answer was correct. (And was actually funny).

I didn't mean to rebuke you (I am sorry if I sounded that way), I just wanted to interpret his statement in the sense of this thread (Wladimir, Ali).
