    He has lost 4 out of his last 7. He is more than shot. He's done.

    :lol: Pinche guey.

    Anyway, yeah of course it would be fine for a farewell fight. The fight would sell big among Mexican fans and it would be a nice way for De La Hoya to cap off his career. Don't really care if it happens or not, but if it does I'll be interested in watching

    Well this wouldn't be a Mega Event for De La Hoya, it would just be a regular, run of the mill farewell fight. Nothing wrong with that from any fighter.

    I think its safe to say he's retired though. That dude has not come out even to smile at a camera since the Pac beatdown. You know he's going through some crazy internal crises at the moment.

    Chavez Jr. would do to Oscar what Joe C. did to your aging, and overrated Philadelphia hero.

    You saying Chavez Jr. would get dropped like a ***** and then slap his way to victory? Hmmm, interesting.

    :verysad Don't like Hops' style at all... I'm just saying if you're going to pick an example of an asswhooping you could have chosen a much better one, 'cause that win was about as weak as it gets.

    Some of you seem to be forgetting that Oscar-Pac was at 147, a weight Oscar hadn't made for nie on 8 years. Plus, he came in at 145, 2lbs under, and then only rehydrated 2lbs to only make the 147 limit on fight night. That's probably a good 15-20 lbs what he would usually weight on fight night. The fact is he ****ed up completely, and was severely, severely drained.

    I think he is shot, but not at 10% of what he used to be. He'd still have enough at 154 to wipe the floor with Chavez Jr.

    Excuses, excuses. Oscar didn't looked drained to me at all. Fighters who come in weight drained look pale and tire very quickly.. I didn't see much evidence of that in the Pac fight. All I saw was a slow and shop worn De La Hoya.

    You could make the case that Margo came into the Mosley fight drained as he looked the part.. weak, frail, and tired by the midddle rounds, but not De La Hoya.

    I don't know that Hoya is shot or not. But watch the Pac/Hoya fight again and watch Hoya's legs only from round 1. They are splayed far apart and he stumbles when trying to shift positions. I've seen him like that before but only in the late rounds of a fight in his worst performances. This is the first time I've seen it from the opening bell.

    edit;
    As to Margarito. He was find but ended up looking pale and frail after being ripped to the body numerous times.
