this is true but people need to realize some differences in today's Wlad. he may be less entertaining yet far harder to beat for the following reasons. 1. Much more foot movement 2. Ability to clinch and wear down his opponent 3. Fights at measured pace to prevent gassing out 4. Can fight and think tired 5. Use of the jab 6. Manny Steward People put too much weight on those early losses to discredit Wlad. A lot of people still think all u need to do is hit Wlad once and he's out. That's a similar strategy his recent opponents have applied and look what it's got them. While you look for that one big punch, he's breaking you down with the jab/clinching and can end it anytime with either fist. If Haye or Arreola come in looking for 1 punch, they too will get dominated. Povetkin throws lots of combinations and will test wlad much more if he can take the punches well.
WRONG AGAIN...SPINKS WAS YOUNG AND WAS 6-0 IN THE 1ST FIGHT...IT WAS IN 78...THE 2ND FIGHT CAME LATER THAT YEAR IN 78 IN WHICH ALI WON...:dealALI WAS JUSS ABOUT 3 YEARS REMOVED FROM HIS CAREER WHICH HE FOUGHT HIS LAST FIGHT IN 81 AGAINST BERBICK...YOUR FAULT YOUR LOSING THIS THREAD BAD LITTLE MAN!:hi:
When I posted that, I was by no means trying to downplay Wlad..I was just using KNN logic on the topic..He keep bringing up the Spinks loss, so I just simply did the same for Wlad..It works both ways my friend.
STYLES MAKE FIGHTS YOU FREAKIN IDIOT...YOU REALLY NEED SOME SCHOOLING ON UR BOXING KNOWLEDGE AND YOUR FIGHTERS FROM THE PAST:deal!!!:-(
Please do your homework. Williams was shot. He was KO'd by the hapless Bob Satterfield earlier that year. He was a mere shell of his former self.
I only mentioned Spinks because sdsfinest22 rushes to conclusions from losses against hard punchers. In no way I would conclude that Ali would lose against Wlad because of Spinks.
2009 Wlad is probably 30% improved from the Purrity/Sanders version. And, of course, he proved what the Brewster fluke was: a fluke, caused by weird case of events that still hasn't been explained. The rematch showed that.:bart.
Aaah, the golden era of boxing. Ali fights a bum when the bum is 6-0. Tell me sdsfinest22, aside from (possibly drugged) Foreman and (featherfisted one-eye Frazier): What is Ali's greatest win against a 200+ opponent?
KEN NORTON X2 IS A GREAT WIN!! I COULD NAME MORE BUT YOU JUSS DON'T GET IT...YOUR NOT ON MY LEVEL WHEN IT COMES TO BOXING BELIEVE THAT LIL MAN..HAVE YOU EVER EVEN STEPPED FOOT INTO A RING??:deal
Thats all good..I'm not a huge fan of Ali I just know my boxing and Ali would beat Wlad or his brother hands down...KLITCHKO FANS KEEP USING THIS LOGIC "TOO BIG AND TOO TALL"...THEY FAIL TO REALIZE THAT ALI DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT....ALI BEAT EVERY MAN HE STEPPED INTO THE RING WITH ASIDE FROM HOLMES AND TREVOR WHICH WERE THE LAST 2 FIGHTS OF HIS CAREER AND HE HAD BEEN FIGHTING FOR 20 YEARS AT THIS POINT...:bbbMAN THESE KLITCHKO FANS ARE TO EASY TO FU34 WIT !:rofl:nut
