hatton would have to be top 3 minimum. and with calzaghe gone he would have as good a shout as anyone for the topspot.

Its possible to measure. For example its safe to say that both Mosley and Cotto are better than Gerry Penelosa.

If such an outcome were to happen, my top 5 or 6 would look like this:

    1. B-Hop
    2. Izzy
    3. Pac
    4. Hatton
    5. Mosely
    6. JMM

BHOP deserves it. Boxing's living legend still going strong, kicking ass and taking names. Vasquez gets bumped up but won't last long at number 2 if he doesn't fight again soon.

Only reason I have JMM so low is because it would take an absurdly and supremely subpar showing for him to lose, hence the lower ranking. I just don't see it happening and I would experience major disappointment if this were to happen.

I don't think there's anyway possible Pac-Hatton would be anything but an absolute war where both fighters are gonna bring their A game. Hatton rises a lot but doesn't pass Pac coz Manny's accomplishments have been huge and he should have performed enough in the fight to still warrant third place.

    Neither will happen.
Anyway just to humor I'd say Hokins.

aight, without ***** footing around its still pac.

izzy has been inactive for a entire year and will continue to be for months. :deal

in the past 2 years he's fought the same guy @ the same weight and won 2/3.

pacs 5/5 in the past 2 years with wins from FW to WW.

theres no question who the better p4p fight is between the 2 even with a loss against the top dog at 140 (where he's never fought before).

Well how do you explain JMM no. 2 in the ring list but an unbeaten guy in Chris John who actually beat him is unmentioned?

Hatton for me. He would have the best recent resume, and the best resume period amongst all the other fighters minus Hopkins. With Hopkins age, I just cant put him back at no.1 though it would be an amazing feat for him to do so.

because apart from that controversial win over JMM, John has beaten noone. JMM went tooth and nail with PAcquiao twice, beat Barrera, knocked out Casa, and demolished Juarez.

This is coming from a Chris John fan.

and also wtf does that have to do with Mosley and Cotto both being better than Penalosa?

I misread it. I would have Hopkins at #1, with Pacquiao still at #2. P4P he is still better than Hatton even if he loses.
