Shane mosley for association and admissions of using performance enhancers , and margarito for the extra applications recently added to his hand wraps to obtain an unfair advantage. I think for anyone to solely call margarito a cheat but not to condemn mosley for his association with drugs is wholely hypocritical, and that goes for any other fighters Lets also not forget the fact that Roy Jones Jnr has had his chequered past with steroids exposed too. What is it with these so called top fighters that they feel they need to cheat the fans and opponents by using these things? What margarito has risked now is not only his boxing licence but much more importantly his boxing record/legacy and now the doubts over his cotto win will undoubtedly go into overdrive. Cotto`s face was a mess, he looked like he had been in a car crash let alone a boxing ring, and now doubts are quite rightly happening over shane mosley, who lets face it in his last few fights before facing margarito looked a shell of his former self. Where did that performance come from? I only hope for his sake it was from hard work and not a product he chose to take in order to cut corners. I have far more respect for those fighters who chose not to cheat or take roids etc And instead showed that their natural ability was through hard work & pure god given genius. Any fighter who it is proved has taken short cuts and cheated in any way doesnt deserve a HOF status or consideration as an ATG Bernard hopkins has been a fabulous fighter and maintained his hunger for titles and his love of the sport, but hasnt felt the need to use performance enhancers to get there. Same of Joe Calzaghe, another fabulous fighter who just like Bernard hopkins has got himself in the gym, training fight after fight after fight and maintained the hunger all his career, he also hasnt needed to take drugs to get to the top. And any other guys like manny paciao, ricky hatton. manuel marquez etc Deserve credit for letting their skills and talent do the work not anything else. Its about time that a boxer who it is proved or if they admit to using performance enhancers have a lifetime ban. If we want to know that results in boxing are clean of any controversy then the authorities needs ensure they are doing all they can also.
Mosley only used steroids for 1 fight and got caught. Roy Jones only used steroids for 1 fight and his opponent did too. Margarito only tried to use illegal handwraps for 1 fight. Thats the end of that. I mean they do drug testing all the time. As for the handwraps i find it harder to believe it was only done for 1 fight but thats all that was shown. They should just make a rule that trainers are no longer allowed using pre-made knuckle pads. They should make the knuckle pads with the gauze right there and then. And another thing i want to add is that little bit of semi-hardened gauze that was inserted into Margarito's knuckle pads probably doesn't make much of a difference at all (in terms of power). I was watching In This Corner and they said that in fact according to the official rules a fighter doesnt have to wrap his hands at all. So imagine a fighter inserting his unwrapped hands into a glove and hitting his opponent with his bare knuckles under the glove. Thats alot harder than some old gauze covered with fresh gauze, yet its entirely legal. Did Margarito use illegal handwraps? yes. Did he do it to increase the damage to his opponent? no. The guy is just trying to protect his knuckles. Its not attempted murder.

Like I said before, all that happened on that day is that one cheater beat another cheater. All you ****s who are praising Shane Mosley and damming Margo had beetter reevaluate the sitauation and rid yourselves of your ****ing hypocrisy. Either forgive them both or to hell with them both, you can't have it both ways here.
Whats hilarious is some people think its perfectly ok for someone in boxing use steroids because they feel others have been doing it for years. LOL so does that make it ok do 2 wrongs make a right??? And lets not forget shane mosley actualy admitted to taking roids, margarito has been accused of cheating with the loaded handwraps. Both are cheats of course, but if you condemn margarito then surely your hypocrits not to also condemn mosley. Any achievements mosley now makes in futurewill have that question over it.... did he actually do that performance roid free??? And any future margarito fight will have the qeustion mark hanging over it Dont make excuses for these guys they are cheats, you cant condemn one without the other.
