Seems to be a lot of dissension on the Brit Forum regarding this fight.

It appears to be a case of "An ingrained respect for a modern boxing icon" (Barrera) v "An up and coming British prospect" (Khan)

Who are you backing in this fight?

Personally, I've been brought up on a diet of Barrera, so I'll be backing the Mexican to the hilt.

I don't really care about nationalities except Vikings.

Barrera all the way based on fighting style and respect for a great fighter that shouldn't be going out with a loss like this.

I don't know. Barrera doesn't deserve to go out to someone like Khan but, on the other hand, what will MAB achieve with a win? Another fight against a prospect who will KO him? At least Khan will have the chance (and I use that word carefully) to go on with with his career if he wins.

    I'm abstaining.

    Stop being a Queen.

Nail your colours to the mast. Mexico vs. Pakistan.

I am split 50/50. I have reasons for wanting both fighters to win.

 I guess it would be nice for MAB to have one last hurrah but I can't see it happening.

I dont want to see Marco lose to Khan by anything other than a close decision.Im not a big Khan fan but the sport needs young fighters to take over from guys like Barrera who has been absolutley brilliant over the years.I just think that if the older end keep beating the young guys it wont be good for the sport in the long run.
I do have a feeling that its going to go horribly wrong for Khan on the night though.

Yes we need a new generation.

But they need to earn it, not just think they're entitled because fighter A is 30+

    Khan.

He's exciting, his weaknesses means he's always going to be vulnerable and involved in exciting fights. Even his dull fights pack more action and spills than most.

Also like the fact he ****ed of to the States to put the work in after his defeat. Shows his hunger.

Think Fwank knows he's gonna get ditched eventually like Hatton/Calzaghe and with him having the Olympians and Brook, he being a bit more adventurous with his matchmaking than usual. Can only lead to good things.

I'm British but that is not relevant. Barrera is my favorite fighter of all time, he should and will beat Khan. Amir does not deserve a name like his on his record.

Considering you believe that Barrera will beat him, if Khan beats him he does deserve that name on his record, and a little credit for the win, imo.

To paraphrase a few posters on here
"Barrera should and will beat him, but if Khan happens to win he doesn't deserve to and it doesn't count. Under no circumstances must Khan ever get any credit."

Fair enough if you think MAB is washed up before the fight, but it's a little unfair to back him to win and totally discredit Khan if he manages to turn the odds.

*and of cause Mab is nowhere near the great he was, before anyone starts saying I think he is*
