Gamboa, he has everything you would want in a boxer, but Lara is more fundamentally trimmed and younger so thats a plus he also needs more exprience but he looks very confortable in there, and unlike Gamboa you dont fear of someone landing a lucky punch like they have on Gamboa and droped him, Lara's defence is lovely.

The best of all the Cubans that have defected is Guillermo Rigondeaux... they guy that defected with Lara but got caught and is still in cuba, his problably better than Lara and Gamboa put together but unfortunately his stuck in Cuba doing nothing what so ever.

I dont know men his situation is really complicated, if he does leave... that would problably be the happies day in boxing ever in my life, I can imagine how he feels seeing Gamboa and Lara doing so much in the big stage and they were nobodies next to him in Cuba, imagine this guy already had 2 Olympic gold medals at age 24

Rigondeaux is up there with Felix Savon and Teofilo Stevenson, he would have accomplished more than them if he had continue his career, he would have been the only fighter in history to win 4 boxing gold medals... and at only 25 his record was

What do u think of Gamboa? Do u think he will go far or is he a KO waiting to happen? Pardon me for being blunt.

Gamboa defense will improve as he faces better opposition, the guys he fights now just try to survive... they have no hope of winning so Gamboa has to get to the open and to do that he has to lower his hands and trow punches of balance, but when he faces a guy who really think he can win and will have the same intentions as gamboa will see who is faster, hits harder and has better reflexes... I honestly belive Gamboa will please his critics when he steps up in competition, not fighting nobody and looking like superman.

I hope so. He is my favorite fighter right now. His quick reflexes and talent have bailed him out so far. He reminds me of Roy Jones Jr. a little, the way Roy use to keep his hands down, especially the left one. But, look at the career he had. The guy is a hall of famer. You may be right about Gamboa in that case. He was knocked down a couple of times, but, he got up quickly and recovered quickly. A lot of haters on these boards I think.:yep

Lara looked really great! I can't wait to see him or Gamboa fight again. I also liked watching Bredis Prescott for more than 59 seconds. He looks very talented and although Atlas pointed some defensive flaws, he is still young and can improve on it.
