Bute: "I hope Andrade beats Tsypko!"; "I hope to fight Kessler in Spring 2010!"

The plan sounds a good one. It would be nice if he didn't have to make another defence before facing Andrade, but there we go.

I agree with pretty much everything he said. Zuniga should be good preperation. Andrade should certainly have too much for Tsypko. Then its game on.

That's the problem. Looking at the 15 boxers ranked by the IBF, I don't see anybody that ressemble Andrade, except Bika, that Bute already beat. Maybe the rankings will change and a new boxer might show up...?

 

My concern is the situation with his promoter Mogens Palle. What will happen after he fight the Larsen bum? Will they have to go to court to settle that?

 

I cant get the image of this mother****er out on his feet while the ref takes the title away from Andrade.....pump this clown all you want he is a ****ing fraud and should not even have the belt yet Bute fans continue their knicker wetting fantasies.

See, all but you guys got the fact that the fight was over and Bute dominated 10 out of 12 rounds. I remember Bute saying he wasnt reaedy for Kessler in 08 but would be in 09, now its 2010 :-(

He needs to fight Andrade again (because he's the mandatory and because there's unfinished business there) before he can dream of fighting Kessler. Kessler is having trouble with his promoter too...he doesn't get the exposure they both need to make this the huge fight it needs to be for it to happen. Business. Kessler wants Bute and Bute wants Kessler. It's a matter of time. Early 2010 is not too far off. Of course, ideally, things would have happened like this:

Bute beats Andrade late 2008 CONVINCINGLY.

Kessler fights Taylor early 2009.

Bute fights a tune-up early 2009.

Kessler fights a tune-up mid 2009.

Bute fights Balzsay or Froch mid 2009.

Late 2009 - Kessler v. Bute.

But many things that needed to have happened for this didn't.

Taylor doesn't want to go anywhere near Bute or Kessler.

Bute failed to beat Andrade convincingly.

Balzsay will not unify for a while, if ever.

Froch will not be a name after (if) Taylor beats him and Taylor will keep the WBC belt in the USA.

 

Much too late. Of course, if Bute gets beaten by Zuniga or Andrade in the meantime, we're back to square one. I can't see how either Bute or Kessler can avoid the other one in 2010 unless either gets to Taylor instead, so they'll have to fight. Whom are they going to fight instead? Balzsay and whom else, if they both keep winning?

And remember, it takes two to tango. Kessler needs to get the OK from Palle before this fight can happen too...this isn't just about Bute/Interbox. Has Palle even mentioned a fight against Bute as a possibility? No. Negotiations with Palle will be very difficult. I think we will be very lucky if this fight gets made early 2010, even if Bute and Kessler will be jumping up and down to fight each other.

 

teke is right.. bute and his team has said numerous times, next year we are ready.. its been said before, so im a little sceptic..

hopefully we will get a unification in the smw division.. no matter who it is..

I doubt any unification fight will appear soon in the smw division.
