There is no arguement to be had here. The fact remains, in all the years of Boxing commentators, Larry has proved to be the most lasting and he will go down as the most memorable. If you don't like him, perhaps you do not have a sense of humor. In any event, I would rather watch his post fight interviews than some of Hopkins and Mayweather's fights. Nothing more to be said.
Exactly. I don't see how someone could watch that and think Merchant got the better of it. Hopkins wrecked him in that video. Period.
When Merchant was like "Isn't it embarassing for a MW to be calling out JMW". Awesome stuff from Larry. I'll miss him.
I think Merchant is a bit off for blaming Hopkins for the mandatory. Hopkins doesnt control the rankings.
Exactly what I said, he is more entertaining and watchable. If he solved no purpose whatsoever, the ramblings of people in here with no sense of humor could be understood if not condoned. However, Larry is entertaining as well as on-point and relevant with the issues he brings up. I say you should all stop whining like little school girls, and appreciate the man, because he won't be here for a great deal longer. You will miss him when he is gone. Trust me.
What part in that video did Merchant "blame" anybody? He was simply asking questions, and that is all he ever does. He didn't even say Floyd was boring, he said, "Do you think this was particularly entertaining?". The misconception with Larry is that he is making all of these statements, whereas in reality, he is asking questions and giving the fighter every opportunity to dispel any preconceived thoughts Larry or the rest of us have.
:thumbsupAh ha.That explains why i dont like him. I thought it was because he was an annoying drunken old imbecile who takes ages to deliver one of his rambling, convoluted stupid questions; but no,......the answer was staring me right in the fukin face....its because i have no sense of humour.:deal Bingo! its so obvious now. Thats for clearing that up.No wonder i was mistaking his Oscar Wilde type wit for rambling drunken bollocks.atsch
Sure, but "Arguments From Authority" ultimately fail. If he's wrong, he's wrong. That's regardless of his status.
