Im so damm impressed by this prospect.. What do u guys think of him and how does he stack up in this deep lightweight division?
left me wanting to see more, LIKE RIGHT NOW.. kid looks like a southpaw version of barrera, and with quirarte in his corner, skys the limit
He looks good...The only fight of him i saw was against Casal , who is a respectable boxer and he completely dominated him...Great variety of punches , seems to have good speed and power to go with it but he needs to work on his defence and footwork....
his head is there to be hit all night :yep this kid must really trust his chin, but it's still bad and needs to be corrected...
Im hella lot more impressed by him than someone like Gamboa that's for sure. He's defense has holes but he's a young pup and he has all the time in the world to make adjusments. His offense is top notch though. I can't rememeber the last time when a prospect threw combinations so smoothly. Gotta keep an eye on this killer right here.
People sometimes get mixed up between flash and substance. Gamboa impresses you more and that's fine but Quintero is more my type of fighter. At least he didnt get knocked down by journeymen. I don't care how fast and flashy gamboa is cuz he's still not gifted enough to be fighting like ROy jones. He fights with his hands all the way down and he's going to pay for it if he doesn't fix that.
That was like his 5th pro fight and hiccups like that can happen to anybody. Even Mijares lost early in his career and many other great fighters have... Gamboa has been knocked down several times already by non world beaters.
Yes but those "non world beaters" like you call them were still very more experienced that 0-0-0 Roger Gonzalez 27-2 Marcos Ramirez 25-0 Darling Jimenez 23-2-2 Adailton Dejesus 19-2 The guy has 14 fights and hes his opposition is WAY better than Quintero's...Believe me,Quintero would have been down too if he fought the same calliber of opponents at the same stage....
i dont know man, casal was landing some monster shots on marvin and all marvin ever did was shoot back
