Did Cotto or Pavlik get shite thrown at them like Hatton did for making a mismatch?

    Average? In world terms?

Anyway I agree... but your missing my point.

Hatton was coming off his first defeat to an ATG, and got ripped apart on here for taking a fight with Lazcano. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander?

I've no problem with the Jennings fight after what happend with Margarito, which is why I didn't have a problem with Lazcano after what happend to Hatton.

Cotto is the man, but you're missing the point. If Jennings was a suitable opponent for Cotto, then why wasn't Lazcano for Hatton? :think

Jennings was top ranked according to the WBO.(WTF??)
He was cherry picked for Cotto and this fight went exactly as expected. Jennings got his night in the limelight and a decent pay for his troubles.

Average, meaning not p4p rated fighter.

I didnt mean he sucks as a boxer.

I never said anything bad about Hatton's comeback fight.

You are correct in that respect....about Hatton and Lazcano.....

Just looking forward to Cotto's next opponent and the welterweight division.

Hatton's choices for a comeback fight were

Torres, Holt, Lazcano, Malinaggi, Rees(when he still had a title), and J.Diaz.

He chose the lowest risk (perceived at the time of the 5) and the one with no reward whatsoever.

Atleast Jennings was for a belt.

    :huh

    This logic makes little sense.

So, if he had fought Jennings and it was not for a title, it would be bad?

I didn't criticize either one for their choice, but I can't speak for anyone else. You come off losses like they did, you deserve an easy bounce back fight in my book, if for nothing else than to get some confidence back and/or work off some rust. It didn't take Hatton long to get back to fighting good fighters afterwards the same way it won't take Miguel now that Jennings is out of the way.

Well truth be told about it Cotto never wanted this fight, he even said as much..Arum pretty much said it was this fight or nothing until June/July date with Margo, that isnt going to happen now.
