kessler vs larsen OFF..

    mogens palle stated, that the fight is off..

    palle said he would be working at getting the perdomo fight set up..

    im a little confused by it, the article states its a voluntary defence against perdomo, which has to take place before the 25 juli.. perhaps they ment his mandatory defence, while larsen was the voluntary.. but palle said, it would be impossible to make a larsen fight now as it was to close to the 25, but perhaps after the perdomo fight..

    seems odd, if its a voluntary defence, why it wouldnt be possible to do the larsen fight..

    confused by it all..

    Palle :tired says he hasen't heard from Sauerland so it will be to late to make the fight before Kessler has a mandatory in june. :patsch

    This is disastrous news for Kessler. It looks like he will only fight one fight this year, against Perdomo. Very disappointing for everyone who loves boxing.

    I think so. He's just saying that since there has been no word from Sauerland, its now too late to make the fight before june.

    A June fight against Perdomo and then a November (??) fight against Larsen, then. Larsen is a southpaw and he has fast hands. He would be decent preparation for the proposed Spring 2010 bout against Bute, if that still applies. Even so, a disappointing year for Kessler, after a disappointing 2008. Things cannot really get any worse in 2010, can they?

    That's why he accepted the Larsen fight. A chance to get out of the contract by making Palle rich.

    One fight in 2009? Against Perd........? It's not easy to be a Kessler fan nowadays.

    Larsen and his promoter have messed up a fight against Bute and Kessler so far. Incredible.
