That pic actually came from the LA Times blog, so if it's a hoax it's their hoax, but the pic does nothing to prove anything either way.

Listen to what you just said. La times blog....................................lets define blog. All you need to have is a LA times membership to post a ****ing blog..A blog is not an official source from the LA times. It is a ****ing blog.

True. So all Freddy had to do was make a family trip to WalMart for supplies (you know he didn't go alone, Mexicans always roll with the whole fam :yep) and sign up for his own LA Times blog. I wouldn't put it past him at all after all the time he's invested on this subject. :deal

Why, after 19 pages, has no-one mentioned the fact the Capetillo admitted that the inserts would have caused more damage?

It may have been mis-reported, but if he did say it, then case closed - all that needs to be determined is whether it was an accident or not.

Although this may not be entirely relevant, as not all accidents are equal - some, especially when someone's safety is concerned cannot be written off just like that.

Maybe Margarito didn't know - personally I'm not convinced he did, but you can't judge individual cases by their own merit - not when managing a large number of people by using laws. There has to be inflexible rules in place - otherwise you give too much power to too few people. For this reason, if Capetillo goes down then Margarito goes with him. It may not be fair to the fighter if he's unaware, but they have to be the rules.

Good post. Ultimately, if the hands are wrapped in such a way so as to possibly give a fighter a possible advantage, then some action has to be taken, and since the fighter is the one who benefits, than he should be held responsible just as much as the trainer who wrapped the hands.

Are you to say that gauze will not get firm and stiff? even though its not the same substance that sponges are made of its the same theory wraps get wet then after they dry out they get stiff, especially a pad like the one in this picture.

But there is only one way you would truely know that, and that would be if you actually boxed before.

If you kill that someone by running over him in your friends car, with your friend in the front seat pointing him out, then yeah... So that is a terrible analogy. Not even close to the same thing.

Trust me, I really hope he's innocent, but you can't make the ridiculous claim that a fighter should not be held responsible for what goes into his gloves. If it is found that the gloves are loaded, then he should bear the responsibility.
