It is no great shock really.Kessler needs to do all he can to get away from Palle the guy simply cannot get him any decent fights and he is going to have his career ruined if this carries on.Ive never heard of Perdamo.
The problem is we have in Larsen a good example of what happens when a Palle boxer tries to get rid of a contract with the old man. Almost 2 years without boxing.
kessler basically lost 1 year of his prime last year with the lack of meaningful fights. he should find anyway possible to extricate himself from palle.
If he does a Larsen, he has to take off 2.5 years, just like Larsen had to do. That would practically be the end of Kessler's career as a top level fighter. He'd drop to B level.
well said. kessler losing to calzaghe did his international reputation a lot more good than the fights he has had since combined.
Kessler's career has become a joke, and more importantly, a boring joke. If he's not going to fight real fighters then he should just give up the belt and fight lucrative exhibition matches in Europe. Because, basically, that's all his fights are these days, exhibitions.
I wish Kessler would fight a big name. He needs to sign for GBP, or soon no one is going to give a **** about him.
thats true and its not true.... i agree he should sign with oscar, or at least a reputable promo team who can maker solid and legitimate fights, but kessler isn't a forgotten man yet because he's still a top name in the super middleweight division. but it's only because the division is in limbo right now that kessler still has his name in the hat - and the dime has to dropp soon that palle has no intention to risk his cash cow if he really wants to move forward.
