The next fight for Miguel Cotto is already taking shape. Top Rank says the likely plan is to bring Cotto back to NYC on the eve of the PR parade. According to Top rank the names at the top of the list are IBF Welterweight Champ Joshua Clottey or Kermit Cintron. Cotto vs Clottey will be easy to make since both are promoted by top rank, but cotto vs cintron could be worth more money since both fighters are pr.

    Thoughts?

    Awesome if either happens.
Would like him to punish Cintron for thegift but on the other hand a Clottey fight would be more interesting.Awesome all the way.

I think both fights are good challenges for cotto
I think Clotteys size might give cotto a hard time
and cintron is dangerous because of his power.... cotto would probably just tear him apart and get the tko late

Cintron? Please throw that option out.

    Clottey would interesting though.

Arum is a clown. Does he really think either of these two draw more than Shane?

Shane said he doesn't want to fight in MSG, so how can he fight him next when he's doing his "Annual P. Rican Day Parade Fight"?

Mosley's in line for a superfight right now be it Cotto or Pac, either way that fight would be in Dec. not this summer, if he fights this summer it probably only be a stay busy fight

Mosley is too old to wait 10 months for his next fight and he's too old for stay busy fights. Do you have a link to Mosley's comments? Not saying he didn't say that I just havn't seen it.

its all over... as soon as he said that he basically made the cotto fight impossible.... espcially since the pr parade is right aroudn the corner

Like the sound of Clottey v Cotto but Cintron? Forget that, why not Berto or Shane?

nah i'm not saying he did say this, i'm just stating that is the most logical outcome, the big superfights normally take place at the end of the year right? and since Mosley's the hot name right now after murdering Margarito, and include the fact that he's worked hard since his loss to Cotto and the fact that he's at the end of his carreer (if he's smart), he's all but guarenteed a superfight

and since the biggest names right now around his weight class are Pac, Hatton, and Cotto it'll be between these 3

Pac beats Hatton nexts, so that eliminates Hatton...and Cotto's fighting in MSG this summer like he always does, so he wont be available untill this winter which would means Mosley would have to not fight for 10months or a fight a stay busy fight while he waits for Cotto, since this seems to be the superfight he wants

but i'm not so sure about Pacs plans, i dont know how many times he wants to fight this year, but i'd assume after he beats Hatton he'll fight the winner of Holt-Bradley this summer, which would mean he wont be available untill this winter as well

and like you said Mosley aint getting no younger and he's proven himself enough already he doesn't need to be fighting anymore highrisk-lowreward fights, he should only look towards superfights and that seems like what he wants since he said he wants Cotto or the winner of Pac Hatton

moral of the story, Pac-Mosley this winter or Cotto-Mosley II this winter, either way he has to weight 10 months, or a take a stay busy fight somewhere in btwn.
