kessler vs larsen OFF..

that should be obvious to everyone.. but kessler isnt going to get famous amongst the american mainstream fans, by fighting european zombies.. he needs to to do a "hatton".. look at abraham, he beat miranda, but 1 fight simply isnt enough..

a guy who says yes, to be under contract with palle and have palle´s daughter as his agent, well that might give some clues, as to what intellect kessler possesses

Man, Kessler should drop the WBA belt, but maybe Palle can pull some strings and get Sakio Bika moved up to #1 - he did something similar before.

As for all you guys who say Kessler should fight some big names etc. They have to want to fight him! There is currently very little money in fighting overseas - no US fans care and German, British and Danish fans would have to stay up to 5 am to watch the fight. Example: Valuev vs Holyfield (10 PM): 1m viewers in Denmark. Hopkins-Pavlik (5 am)
5.000 viewers.

Not good business. Too bad for the sport but thats how it goes.

well guess what.. its not quite off, according to palle its more like a postponement:tired

so right now, it seems that palle´s plan, is to get the mandatory with perdomo done, and then once again, try to setup the larsen fight..

this is so depressing, that kessler should just pull the plug and retire.. if he is going to waste 2 years by fighting sartison, haussler, perdomo and larsen, why the **** even bother..

at first it seemed okay, as we were led to believe, that kessler would do the larsen fight and then through mutual agreement with palle, rip the contract.. BUT without excatly knowing the circumstances, im inclined to believe, that palle isnt prepared to negotiate regarding the conttract. He seems intent on wanting kessler for the 3 fights, which the contract stipulates.

and unfortunately it seems, that 2 of those are going to be perdomo in the summer and larsen later..

 

Actually only 1 of these fights are part of the Mogens Palle contract, as he has the rights for Kesslers 3 first VOLUNTARY defenses after getting the WBA strap. So far he has fought none. Häußler was a mandatory, and Perdomo is also a mandatory, that has to be fought before july 25th.
So with Kessler fighting twice per year, and having to bother with crappy mandatories every 9 months, he is stuck with Palle for AT LEAST 2 more years..

 

ohh ****.. thats even worse.. i thought it was "only" 3 fights all in all, well with the wba´s rules, which i believe states, that he has to fight a mandatory every 9 months, then my calculator is saying, AT LEAST 2 YEARS.. maybe more like 3, as it will be 3 mandatory´s and 3 voluntary defences..

 

If it's three voluntary defenses, Kessler is in deep trouble. He just has no option, no good decision to take. Unless Palle has done something that doesn't respect their contract, he will box for him for at least the two next years. If we're lucky, a fight against Bute may be possible. I expect in fact one big fight in the next two years for Kessler.
