Here is a recent James Toney interview.

Toney sounds OK to me, his speech having derioated a little bit but not that much as some here always say. He also looks in pretty good physical condition and does not seem to have balloned up too much.

Interestingly, Toney also calls out Haye. With Haye seemingly backing out of the Wlad fight, Toney-Haye would be great. Currently Toney is also in talks to face Areola on 11th April.

The Oquendo fight was embarrassing, and this is coming from a James Toney fan. I turned it off after the fight cause I was sure he lost. I couldn't believe that he'd won a SD. He should retire.

You arent worthy of being a James Toney fan. Learn how to score a fight, and then go play in the street. :good

The Oquendo fight was actually very close. Toney landed the harder more telling blows while Oquendo got in more shots.

There is no shame in winning a close one against Oquendo who also gave prime Byrd, prime Ruiz and Holyfield fits.

Toney has only lost to Peter who was arguably beaten by Toney the first time. Toney beat Holyfield, Oquendo, Guinn, Booker, Batchelder, Ruiz (later overturned) and has a draw with Rahman.
