If Margarito Did Not Cheat, Why Did They Ban Him For 1 Year?

The thread starter WWW, will not even acknowleadge this post, he'll ignore it and recycle the same arguments over and over pointing to unsubtantiated plaster in Margarito's wraps.

Baffoons like WWW will keep accusing Margarito of carrying bricks in his gloves, but when all of this is said and done and its pointed to that it was only a small insert of moist gauze that was in that knucklepad, without fail, bozo's like WWW will say, "I told you so, Margo cheated!"atsch

Most if not all of this forum already knows that the moistened insert should not have been there, but the question becomes was that insert dangerous enough or even intended to cause harm to Mosely?


Yeah, we are all certain that it was a small insert of moistened gauze on Margarito's knucklepad that battered Miguel Cotto!


Btw, I've noticed that there are a few uneducated out there who continue to point out that knucklepads are illegal.....

.....well they are not.....a knucklepad is a string of rolled up gauze placed over a fighters knuckles.....every fighter uses them, and they're LEGAL!

 

The sentencing of other fighters has zero to do with Margarito's crime. He is a known cheater, and must be recognized as such.

 

Margarito's trainer has ALREADY admitted to illegally loading Margarito's gloves. There is nothing legal to what he did, and he admitted to it.

Nevada is the only commision to come out public stating that they are certain that Margarito wrapped properly under their inspection.....
.....the NSAC has been quoted as saying, "Unlike the CSAC, we provide the fighters with the gauze and tape to wrap the fighters fists. If Margarito did something illegal for the Cotto fight, they would have done so operating with our materials in front of the presence of both our inspector, and Cottos' very own represantative assigned to supervise."



Its clear as day that Margarito battered Cotto with legal wraps......but since there is a controversy now over Margarito's wraps for Mosely......logically Cotto fans and others that just dont like Margarito to begin with, need to use something as a crutch to hang onto.

 

I believe that money has great influence. It causes guys to wanna do anything to win. Sometimes they have their hands wrapped to unseen advantage, others go to San Francisco and hook-up with Victor Conte, still others may be persuaded to look the other way when the rules are breached.

It just may come to greed, influence or marked stupidity - but it is a fair question, nonetheless.

 

All I'm saying is that if all he had was extra padding, which is basically rolled up gauze, than he is on the same boat with Trinidad, yet Trinidad got off with no punishment.

All those that you listed are uneducated and very simply have not seen or inspected the knucklepad in question.

Shane Mosely has seen, touched and inspected that knucklepad, and he said it was not hard but had the potential to get hard.....as he went on to say that he believed Margarito is innnocent and should not be penalized or suspended.


Lennox Lewis called it brass knuckles, and that bafoon has'nt even seen a picture of it, much less inspected it like Mosely has.

 

The irony of one cheater beating another is not lost upon me.

Mosley has much to protect...and to be thankful for. Somewhere out there Victor Conte was smiling when Shane decided to utter his words carefully...and let's be honest....we'll have to again take Shane at his word.

 

It's sad to see the media be manipulated so easily by just random word of mouth. They are a big part of this witch hunt.

 

Its possible, remember it wasn't the commision that found the substance. It was a veteran trainer. The boxing commisions don't have necessary have a good history in terms of enforcing rules.

 

Even tho Mosley was the target of the doctored hand wraps of Margarito, his past steroid use will figure into his careful statements on the situation. Having been the target of many for cheating, he'll not want to fuel the fire against his past bi bringing it up any more than he has to.

 

Meh sounds like the commission trying to save face to me.

Also true that Nazim was the one who caught it. Margarito already had one hand wrapped and gloved before he got caught on the other one.
