How good was it to see Cotto back doing what he does best?

I'm referring of course to BODYPUNCHING and WINNING!

Miguel, for whatever reason, never went to the body against Margarito, and he lost.

As a fan of Cotto and a fan of bodypunching, it was brilliant to see him back, looking strong and confident, and finishing Jennings's chances by ripping in some brutal bodypunches.

Miguel is one of the best bodypunchers in the world and it is great to see him back doing what he does best! (sorry, allow me to be a 'fanboy' for a minute, I'm just pleased to see him back after the savage defeat by Margo)

I know it probably won't happen (because Pac will derail the idea on May 2 IMO!), but if Ricky Hatton does beat Manny, I'd love to see Hatton v Cotto at a catchweight of 143 or 144lbs later this year. I think Miguel would win by stoppage, but I bet it would be a thrilling festival of bodypunching while it lasted!!

    :bbb

It was definitely enjoyable seeing him back in action, regardless of the opponent. I liked the fact that he looked genuinely happy about the win, you could tell it meant a lot to him after the fight. I think if he is happy with boxing again he will be able to push himself comfortably and get back to where he was, or possibly improve outright.

Yes It was great to see Cotto back in action as well! :good Well, Bob arum said so himself that if Cotto can also win his next bout in June and Pac can beat Hatton then he would TRY to make Cotto vs Pac for late 09'. Even if Hatton won and faced Cotto, Hatton gets stopped.

I have said this for awhile now, Cotto neglected his body punching with Margarito when he should have focused on it. Shane battered Tony to the body mercilessly....to great effect.

It was good to see Cotto back...especially to see him call out the top five.

I have been hit by some painful body shots myself, so whenever I see those left hooks from Cotto land flush on someone's liver .... man,, I cringe , what a thing of beauty though !

Great to see it and hopefully he stays busy this year..I was suprised I actually got a pick right for once. Picked both the rounds that Cotto and Pav would win in. Only put $5 on each though.

delighted, only time will tell the real scars he has, once he fights again in a big fight and it turns to a war or does not go his way!or he takes a beating for a round, how will he take it?

he did look confident enough to call out the big boys though.....

Good to see him back.....I don't see why some feel he would have diminished. Cotto showed his skill set was unmatched vs Margo though like I and many already knew Margo was physically superior. While I tend not to focus much on the "handwrap" issue it does seem to place a shadow over the win. Hand wrap issues or not I still feel Cotto can dominate Margo by utilizing he's superior technique and skill set.

Shows you have a hell of a lot of confidence in your man Cotto?

I can tell you are a big fan.....oh, and you call it like you see it too.

If you are a fan...you are a fan...you are behind your man.

If not, then you will bet $5

    **** off you troll.

That was a pick the round bet..What you expect me to put all my money on one round? Thats like putting all your cash on a single number for roulette..You have a lot to win but a lot to lose. I put many bets on this weekend..Cotto to specifically win in the 5th was one of them.

You want to be behind your man alright..Ramming him up the butt. Hate to break it to you maricon but Miguel doesnt roll that way.

I'm always excited to watch Miguel as I am to watching all of boxing's elites. It was great to see him land his signature punch and witness the effects that it can have. He's one of my faves and I can't wait to see him back in action.
