Hot Damn Jeff! I was starting to think I was the only person who was paying attention. That was not the same type of **** KP did in the Taylor fight where he dropped his hands and stuck his chin out to "prove" he wasn't hurt. It was completely different. Kelly had his hands down at chest height, and was making Rubio miss, and then all of a sudden he just stopped, got this stupid grin on his face, and let Rubio tee off on him. I think that is the exact moment when Rubio knew he was ****ed.

Of course when Mayorga does that stuff, it's AWESOME. When Kelly does it, we all know it shows how poor his defense is.:patsch

Exactly! At least someone else saw it that way rather than the dumb comments I keep hearing about the "same old Kelly". Yeah, it was funny...Rubio wow...he was getting his whole body driven back..damn Kelly hit that guy hard...but he did it very accurately.....didn't get out of control..

KP showed good composure. Very, very patient. He never did really declare war on Rubio. He just patiently picked his shots and broke hm down.

However, I think Leow may have actually told Pav NOT to knock him out at one point. I think it was after the 3rd round. Jack said something I could't hear, and then it sounded like Kelly asked, "What if I get a chance to land something big?" Leow said something else I could hear, and Pav just looked away. I could be wrong. Do you know what I'm refering to?

Yeah I think so. I said Kelly was just practising his boxing on the guy and he could take him out at any point and people say he looked bad because he didn't blast him out in 3 but if he did that then he would have been criticised too. Loew kept saying stick to the plan and I believe it was to actually not KO Rubio too quickly and show some boxing which I thought he did real well. I felt he looked better.

I'm loving the way he showed that lead left-hook. That was something I was really wanting to see and he was really throwing that mofo, not only with power, but real good speed. I thought he might take Rubio's head off with it. lol...Rubio can take a shot....left-hook to the body was a great punch as well.

Besides patience and composure I saw a couple other things I liked. Kelly has been throwing that long left hook to the head and the body for his whole career, but I've never seen him put them together so well. When he throws that to the head, it comes out looking like a jab, and then he hooks it around the guard at the last instant. I thought leading with that, and then throwing a second hook to the body was great.

I also think the lead right to the body was good. He's been using that punch forever, but this time he used lot a lot more.

I did not see the final compubox numbers, but I thought Kelly threw fewer jabs than normal. It's a mistake to think "double the jab" is all Leow ever says. In order to buy into that you have to believe we hear everything that goes on in the corner. We probaly hear less than 5% of what is actually said.

I've seen Abraham/Ikeke, and Abraham/Gevor. If I was an AA fan those are not names I would bring up:bart

Ikeke and Gevor are "C" level at best. If Arthur approached Pavlik like he did Ikeke, it would take Sauerland a month to gather up the pieces of Arthur's head.

i think pavlik couldn't hurt abraham when he turtles up, he let miranda bang on his guard for two rounds and it didn't affect him a bit. the only vulnerable place is abraham's ribcage, he has had problems with it in the past. but as once again displayed, pavlik is no huge puncher, he needed hundreds of shots to wear down that lmw midget rubio - abraham is much more durable and can change the fight with a single punch.

He said he'd like to fight both Abraham and Sturm.

I think it would be nice for one of them to get Sturm first because then that sets up a fight for all the belts but right now I don't see anyway either gets Sturm in the ring. Maybe if Arum offers something huge it could happen. Then there is Williams or Winky. Some good fights. I like that Kelly is planning on trying to fight 3 more times this year as well.

Rubio a tomato can,eh?? He got schooled by a better boxer.Nothing worng with that!
Doesnt mean that he is a bum!

AA is a different cup of tea! I am not really sure whether Pavlik can take AA's good shots or not. Pavlik 's chin will probabyl be the decisive factor in an encounter with AA
