Relatively, he's not. He is exactly the same. Not having the same physical advantage is down to his opponent being stronger, not him being weaker. If Hatton tried to make 135 he'd be weaker. Just as Cotto would be trying to make 140.
Relative to his opponents he is weaker at 147 than at 140. Anyway, i'd like to see Cotto/Hatton - though should Hatton somehow manage to beat him the win would soon be discredited due to Cotto's loss to Margo. People would be questioning how good Miguel was in the first place.
Yes, his opponent is stronger, that is usual when you step up in weight. It usually calls for using your speed and skills rather than brute force, that has largely been Hatton's problem against Collazo and such. I'm sure Hatton would get a lot of credit from most people if he beat Cotto, particularly if Cotto has a good win in the time preceeding a potential fight. There are always a few that give no credit regardless, but who cares.
'there are always a few that give no credit regardless, but who cares' talking about a few on here i see mate, including your good self
so Hatton goes from being a total beast at 140 to being significanly less just 7lbs north, his first jump in weight.....atsch, give us a break for ****s sake. Cotto butchers him at any weight, pounds him into the ground. Pacman will do it first.

Hatton won't fight Cotto. Nothing to gain from it. Hatton would only fight a weak 147, a lucrative 147 or the absolute best at 147. I can't see Hatton fighting Cotto cos it would be respected but put him in line with guys like Margo, Mosley and he dont' want none of that.
