I believe Joe Calzaghe will come back, when Carl Froch has defended his title twice..

    First beating Jermaine Taylor..

    Then beating Kessler..........

If he beats Kessler that is the Key...

if Forch did that then i honestly think Joe would come back. but he would need it at catchweight.

If he loses his court battle with Warren the chances of this happening will increase dramatically.

I said that Jermaine Taylor would win....

But now i want Carl Froch to win, because Joe Calzaghe needs this defining fight.

There is nothing better than a domestic defining fight...

Im unsure Calzaghe always said he would never comeback from retirement.

Maye after 12 months we will have a new name emerge from the rubble.

I dont see it , he's only going to slide more , and then having been out of training for a year ( or more ) come back and face Froch , Nah.

    Doubtful scenario.

Firstly I doubt he beats Taylor. If he somehow does get through that, he certainly won't beat Kessler. So overall the chances of that happening are not high, and even then Calzaghe has to make the decision to come back.

I cant see Froch beating Taylor and he ccertainly wont beat Kessler. As for Joe coming back i cant see that happening even if Froch does win.He has been wanting to get out for a while.I think Joe has hung up his gloves for good.

I hope he does but more than likely he wont. Besides i dont see him coming back for kessler cos he already outboxed him, Taylor niether cos he just about handled a torn up lacy who was ruined after the calzaghe fight and as for froch he aint gonna beat taylor or kessler. so thats it rly, No Mo Jo

Say Froch or someone else beats Kessler, that might tempt him out, as what Kessler does is key to his legacy. If it turns out Kessler is not that good after all then basically Joe has beat an old drained Eubank, old Hopkins and avergae Kessler....oh and Lacy was obviously never much good either.
Hardly the stuff of legend or British all time top 10 now is it.

Eubank fought a green Calzaghe in his first 12 round world title fight
Old Hopkins just schooled the WBO/WBC middleweight champion
Kessler held the WBA/WBC super middle titles and was dangerous
Lacy held the IBO/IBF super middle titles and was the next tyson

To be honest that is the stuff of legend and british all time top ten

Calzaghe was fresh, Eubank was well past it and drained.
Yes Hopkins schooled Pavlik, but Pavlik is nothing special. Still, Hopkins doing that did help Joe.
Re. Lacy, well Audley was touted by many even inside the game to be the next great heavy.......same with Lacy....don't mean he was ever any good in reality.
Kessler looks good no doubt, but he still hasn't any really big wins and until then there must be doubts about him being a real top p4p fighter.

There are question marks about Joe's willingness to step in the ring with prime top draw fighters during his peak years.

He's not going to come out of retirement and old age to fight one.

    Joes not comeing back.
