hats off to jennings

I thought Jennings put up a good show, he didn't look as out of his depth as I thought he might.

I was impressed with his composure, he stuck to his gameplan and looked quite sharp at times. His double and triple jabs worked well, and he definitely seemed to briefly shake Cotto with a good right hand at one point.

He also showed good movement, and tied Cotto up when he had to. He didn't crumble at the first sign of trouble, which puts him ahead of some fighters I could name.....

 

Jennings gave it a go and did himself proud, unlike the penny-pinching Lockett who quit and ran with the money. I can only hope the property crash has hit the turnip-haeded, self-proclaimed property tycoon hard.

 

Wobbled Cotto? I wouldn't say so.

Jennings real problem was he wasn't connecting at any rate. He did nothing that would keep Cotto off him. It wasn't a real jab he was throwing but a keep off me jab. He was backpedalling so much he was falling short. He only threw a couple right hands. I suppose he felt he might have been KO'd early if he had of tried, but he may have a little regret as he boards British Airways that he didn't try to get Cotto's attention more.

 

I'm not sure he could have done much more, to be honest. He did try to land meaningful shots, but just got punished for his efforts.

 

Wow.You guys really clutch at straws.No way was Cotto EVER hurt .To suggest that Jennings did anything more than was expected is ridiculous.He did what he was brought over for.The sacrificial lamb.No more-no less.

 

:roll: Geezer, he wobbled him once, thats all i'm stating, dont get out ya pram.Cotto beats jennings 10 times out of 10 and it gets easier each time....

 

Cant recall any wobble,but whoever suggested he bottled it is a *****.
Jennings got a shot he couldnt refuse,and hopefully got a great payday.
He cant have any regrets,cottos just a bit special.
Worse fighters than micheal jennings have won a 'world title'

just back on cotto,everyone made a big deal about hatton fans booing at mayweather,and so they should have,twats.
but when jennings got introduced he was booed to **** off the crowd,twats

 

He never looked like bottling it to me, but if you look back he did make cotto do a little jig, think it was the 3rd, not even worth posting i suppose.Jennings definately has the skill to be a champ, shame he came up against such a formidable opponent

 

Jenning as i expected was way out of his depth. The only way to get Cotto`s respect would be for him to plant his feet and throw back. Unfortunately for him that could have spelt disaster even quicker. Jennings gets props from me for sure. The kid didnt come to lay down. Masterful peformance from Cotto. I love watching this guy reminds me somewhat of a vintage Mike Tyson in terms of how he stalks his opponents and his peak a boo compact style and build.

 

too many people here living by the internet !!...you get knowledge and experience in life not from a keyboard....if you lads think jennings showed great guts so be it,personally i dont....but to then start calling childish names to someone you dont know shows a simple lack of moral fibre and class....some people just talk the talk from the internet ....but then again i guess this is just an internet forum for people to " sound like " they know what their on about and bad mouth anyone who disagrees with them....regardless of who they are or what they might have done.

You kids living your lives on the internet posting thousands of posts on your expert views are a good indicator of how weak our society has become,instead of getting out living and learning and fighting for what you believe your talking bollocks on the internet and living that as your fight,your living and your learning !......im no einstein but 10,000 posts in 4 years must be about 10 posts per day solid for 4 years,jesus christ get out and kick a ball or punch a bag or something.
