kelly looked the same, rubio never came in the ring with a heart.decent win but no big deal.i call a spade a spade ! good win but not great.as far as slipping punches, rubio hardley fought back but when he did flurry he would catch kelly.just did not having anything on them, but he did land when he threw which was hardly ever.

Rubio stayed with a high guard and would go to the ropes. Kelly was patient and accurate. Worked to the body and then would, are you ready for this, step back. Not just sit in the pocket and wail away going for the knockout. My son thought Rubio was trying to pull Pavlik in and counter. He actually got Kelly to open up and present the chance, but Rubio was shell shocked and couldn't pull the trigger fast enough. He would come out swining and missing. I look for Abraham to be better at pulling the trigger but he still has the reach problem. Kelly was very good at controlling the distance and being patient. Just what he needs to do with AA, unless AA comes out with something entirely new.

I'm not really "against" a Williams fight. It's more a matter of urgency and priorites. Winky/Pavlik talk has been going on for years. Abraham and Sturm both have titles. Williams will probably get little credit for beating Winky should he win. Most of us, right or wrong, will assume it means Winky is shot. In my opinion, Williams gets the lowest priority of the 4 fighters. Bring it on after KP unifies.

Arum again stated that PW jerked him around for a month of negotiations and he has no intention of giving Williams/Goosen a pay day, so it doesn't matter.

IMO PW deserves it more than Sturm

If PW wins, **** it, KP/AA with PW/Sturm in the co-feature! Now THAT would be a fight card, but it would be too expensive to put on, and a nightmare to negotiate.

Sturm most likely isn't even gonna come back to the US again. Man, the hell w/Sturm.

I see your point. Most will say Winky is shot. I happen to think if Winky has anything left he will give Williams hell and would tip him to win.

Well, Arum is pissed at Goosen/Williams and Sturm does have a trinket Kelly wants. Maybe he will need to take Sturm's trinket to get his shot at Pavlik.

Arum is a POS he froze Willaims out at 147 and wouldn't put his fighters Cotto, Margo or Clottey in the ring with Williams. He ruined some great fights there.:-( He'll probably still harbor bad blood and if Willams wins won't want that fight for Kelly.

By the end of the first sentence I thought you had lost your mind. Second one restored confidence though.

People in Kelly's camp said he was preparing for the Williams fight. It got that far. I trust my sources on this one. I wasn't part of the negotiations, but maybe, just maybe, Arum isn't the only one to blame here.

Nowe're back to the "my sources" stuff. Man, you act like Arum isn't a liar. You don't remember what happened as far as the offer being sent to Arum & Arum lying to Team AM?

And you still don't pay attention. Pavlik was preparing for Paul Williams. What went on between Goosen/Arum is not known to me, but I find it hard to believe Arum would tell Pavlik to start preparing if he didn't believe that was a done deal. You get more patient and deliberate with age. Arum has plenty of that.

I'm glad you have faith in a man who will do anything to get the most money, even if it means lying.

I guess shaking his hand must have worn off on you!
