I lost my 9th, 14th and 20th fight only. I had 100 fights and slaughtered my opponents regularly. I was a monster. Continually, I won the world title in my division, defending it 14 times after I had won it. I retired undefeated champion of the world. I am one of the biggest legends in world boxing. Easy one I know. Just an awesome career, and an Icon when I was boxing.

Hard to argue with that. You could interchange Robinson, Monzon, Hagler and possibly Greb and make a good case for each.
Greb.. Greb..Greb..Greb.. It's cruel to undermine his ability, yet, the softest punching Middleweight of the millineum is his title. I honesty hope footage is 'unearthed' oneday. Claims from many, suggest having seen footage. How good was he??? Orthodox, Unorthodox?? Wild, defensive, clever or a journey man who built a magnificent record via a troubleing style?? God knows?? Will have to find a different platform to discuss these men. Compare the record of Darcy, to that of Greb.... take a look at what both achieved by 1917... Greb was a year older. Darcy would have wiped the floor with Greb. IMO, and continued to fulfill higher achievents, right through, until the mid 20's..... IMO.
Certainly Les achieved a helluva lot in a short amount of time. However his tragic death doesn't allow him to be placed as high as the others. Greb doesn't appear to have much of a whack, but still defeated the likes of Gene Tunney despite giving away weight, and was stopped just twice in 280 bouts.
I was a tough welterweight in 1965 who then grew into a middleweight. I fought near 27 times in England before I lost my first fight. I fought some of the best in England. I came to Australia, eventually taking up residency there. I joined the Palmer gym fighting on Ringside. My success factor was not that good in Australia.
Will have another crack if Duffy's not the right answer. Here's a new one: QUESTION: Won an Australian title in 2nd ever pro fight. During career won both Aust middle & light heavyweight titles. Also challenged unsuccessfully for Aust heavyweight title and a South African title. Hint: Aussies don't seem to have challenged for South African titles in recent times.
