Kermit Cintron ended its experiment in the 154 pounds and be back to 147 for consideration as the next opponent for Miguel Cotto on June 13 in New York.

"It's a fight that is easy to negotiate," said Cintron. "It makes much sense as it would be for the Puerto Rican Parade and it would be a big event. Lou DiBella is already talking with Bob Arum (promoter of Cotto) about the possibility of a fight, "he added.

Cintrón comes to match with the Argentine Sergio Martínez although many observers believe that the Puerto Rican was not worthy of such a decision.

However, hopes that its value has not decreased in the Welter division.

"A fight between us break all records. Two Puerto Ricans fighting for the title would be something great. For me, fought well against Martinez, who consider it the best 154 pounds now, "said Cintron.

It would be a big event and probably makes the most sense for June 13th. Other than being Puerto Rican Cintron isn't worthy but let it happen.. I'll look forward to him getting beat into submission.

If this fight happens of course. I'll take Kermit to go past 9 Rounds.

Cotto would stop Cintron quite easily, I'd be surprised if Cintron made it past 7.

Again... I think my boy Kermit will surprise some of you. He lost to the same guy Cotto lost to. No one knows whether any of them had to deal with loaded gloves or not. (Before anyone uses that excuse)

I know he cries a bit much, but don't act like he won't ****in bring it at 147. I think his criticisms are a bit overreaching.

If this fight was to get made, I can see it getting built up pretty good but only to result in an anticlimactic let down because Cotto is gonna dismantle that fraud. As much as I would enjoy watching Cotto inject Cintron with some humility serum, there's more pertinent fights out there for Cotto to examine like Mosley and Clottey.

  13. Cintron should be fighting Chavez, Jr.

What is it with Cintron ? He doesnt deserve this fight whos he beat ? a blown up Lovemore Ndou whos claim to fame is almost beating Sharmba Mitchell ? David Estrada a dude who gets trashed by every good fighter he faces and almost put Cintron to sleep. The guy gets beat down badly twice by Margarito not competitive in the least and just got KOed by Martinez cried and ***** then got to last 12 rounds and got a disgraceful draw probablly Bob Arums doing somehow so he can get Cintron-Cotto going.
