I agree Rubio seemed to be okay with just showing up and collecting a nice check, he just didnt do anything, unless somehow Pavlik has some power that Rubio couldnt or didnt want to have to deal with, after all Jantuah did starch him with a single shot.

for as long as it would have lasted your correct, I would like to see Pavlik move up to 168 and fight Andrade

    andrade would knock him out....
did you see when rubio did open up in those 2 rounds, pavlik looked lost.....the 6th round was rubio's round, just leaves me wondering how the fight would've played out if it would've been like that since the jump....pavlik would've still ko'd him, but it would've been a decent scrap...

I think Pavlik was a bit shocked that the man just opened up with something, I think mentally the loss from Hopkins did some damage to Kelly Pavlik, had Rubio opened up we would have seen him look a bit more vunerable but it would have only created more openings for Pavlik to score, and we may not have seen the quitting on the stool had that happend.

I am sure Andrade would knock him out, but it would be fun to watch that fight, if Pavlik can some how up his work rate that fight would be a fight of the ages kinda battle.

We already have a champ at lightweight. His name is JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ! **** the alphabet straps, Marquez is the lineal champ.... and I agree with the whole Clottey, Cintron thing. A lot of people people wanna see a heartless guy like Cintron get another big shot against Cotto just because he's a bigger name and is also Puerto Rican, but what the **** has that guy done lately to deserve such a big fight? Feed Miguel Cotto Mosley, Margo, Pacquiao, or Clottey, but giving Cintron another shot would be a ****ing disgrace.

    Fantastic as usual.

Gamboa and Lara could not have done a better job with the opponents they had in front of them. That uppercut Lara executed to finish his man was beautiful.

I have Juan Mauel Marquez by close decision, may have to get up off the canvas. Diaz isn't a big puncher, but he is a legitimate Lightweight and throws his shots with mean intentions. Should be a great fight.

Likewise, I think John will decision Jaurez, who seems to come up short everytime he steps up with the big boys. John should have enough ability to outbox Rocky to a decision.

    Nice show. :thumbsup

I agree with your assessment on Duddy who I think really dropped the ball. Yes he was able to show his boxing skills more which is a good thing but just picked the wrong time and the wrong opponent to do so. I too was excited to see the normally reserved Cotto call out some names after his win. Hopefully a Mosley or Clottey fight come to fruition. And Gamboe is pure entertainment. Yes he has flaws but who cares. He'll have his share of turbulent moments but his talent is something to be awed at.
