Thats the reason we have diffrent divisions in Boxing, so that fighters roughly the same size can fight each other..... So what if Hatton would lose against Shane and AM they are much bigger than him. Hell Cotto had to be dragged kicking and screaming out of the LWW untl he physically couldn't make the weight anymore
Ive wanted this pair matched up for nearly two years but as has already been discussed at what weight do they fight at? HATTON WOULD'NT FIGHT AT 147...COTTO WOULD'NT DO 140!! So a catchment weight somewhere in between is the best bet and a great fight it would be..but this would'nt last long!! Cotto TKO 7
Word. This is the real problem half of the haters on here seem to have with Hatton, the fact he gets well paid for his bouts. Well more fool him for having a but of charisma and popularity! If he was penniless he'd be the best thing since sliced bread!
If Hatton can come through Pac, I'd pick him over Cotto. If Pac can come through Ricky, I'd fancy him against Cotto also.
This place is so delusional its untrue. Had you put Hatton in with Margarito you would have got the exact same result much earlier. What the hell do you think Hatton would have done against him, when Cotto counterpunched superbly early on? Hatton would be in close with Margarito the only way he knows and he'd get mullered by the MUCH bigger, more powerful man that would have chuckled at his punches. Now suddenly Hatton can beat Cotto at 147. Unreal.
I simply don't think Cotto is as good as a lot of people believe. Though upon reflection, with his money punch being the left hook, and Hatton being vulnerable to hooks...... Make the fight happen!
