I have a feeling the guy Larouche wants for Bute if he wins against Zuniga is Edison Miranda.

Miranda has a fight around the same time in March and I'm sure Interbox and Warrior have been in negotiation for the upcoming Diaconu-Johnson fight if Diaconu wins against Branco.

Bute-Miranda & Diaconu-Johnson on the same card?

Surely, US TV would be interested!

But Miranda, if he can bang, doesn't put, from what I have seen of him, as much pressure as Andrade does, no?

 

Andrade is the only SMW to go forward even when he is hit flush. Everyother boxer goes backward a little before countering. There is no Andrade clone.

 

And I suspect Miranda won't go for much more rounds against Bute that he did against Abraham...

 

When you look at the plans for Bute in 2009. It looks pretty decent. Sure, there is no talk about unification fights until 2010. But I'm willing to bet the other champions won't be fighting each other either.

Zuniga in March 09
Miranda in June 09
Andrade in October 09

That will most likely be better then what Kessler and Balzsay are going to do.

Froch or Taylor might do better. Time will tell.

 

I guess it depends what kind of fights are there for him.

If he could get a fight with Taylor/Froch or Kessler and decides to fight Miranda instead. I would have a problem with it.

But those fights are often hard to make and take time. There is probably zero chance these fights could be made for June.

 

Indeed, the winner of Froch vs Taylor won't be able to fight in June, their fight being in late April. And Kessler is still trying to get out of his contract with Palle who's working for a mandatory defense in June against the dangerous Perdomo atsch

 

What about fighting Andrade in June or July? He could have time for a big fight late this year.
