I guess Stéphane Larouche is a real promoter after all. Bute has nothing to gain in terms of boxing with Miranda and Lacy. Why not Ward or Dirrell?

 

You think Ward and Dirrell would go anywhere close to Bute(or any other top guy) at this stage?

 

I'm sure they don't want to face Bute this year. Interbox may have made an offer to their promoters already. But both Andres will have to justify their ranking sooner or later. Dirrell is number 7 at the IBF. Taylor will be out because he will face Froch for the WBC title. Tsypko will go down if he loses, Andrade will go down if he loses against Bute. That leaves Bika and Stieglitz in front of Dirrell. He can lose some more time fighting guys out of the top 30 and wait to become the next mandatory.

 

It's not likely he''ll even push for a mandatory.I doubt they will fight any top dog like Kessler,Bute,Taylor,Bika or Andrade,maybe an Green or a Miranda or a Brinkley.

 

Stieglitz knows he has to wait and win against easy opponents. Eventually, he will be offered an eliminatory for the mandatory spot. I doubt he would face Dirrell or Ward. Anyway, Bute should face Andrade sooner instead of Lacy or Miranda. US exposure would not be better the other way. It would only be easy cash.

If I was Dirrell, I would do everything in my ability to land a title shot against Bute. It's a very winnable fight and Dirrel would beat him right now.

Well, try to convince Dirrell's promoter. Because if he sees what I see of Dirrel, he won't do that mistake. It's one thing to look good against average opposition. It's another when you face real top 10. As a Bute fan, I would love to see him against Dirrell this year. And I wouldn't be nervous at all.
