And to think he is continually bullied on this site.

You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Ive thought that Mac,but dismissed it.Its designed to retroactively make their life into more of a heroic Rocky story.Thats all.
I remember all the bully victims at school. They aint famous.
Moreover, there have been several Celebs(Jade Goody and Jordan being two)who after claiming they were themselves victims of bullying, had loads of old school peers say that they themselves were the bullies, with testimonies from teachers.

    So there.

    Good post.
As for the latter bit, some celebs would have been just based on the law of averages, but i dont believe so many were.
    Its a badge of honour.Another reason is its subtle,discreet way of reminding people of how well they've done with their life;
Its a bit crass to just say,..."im brilliant me,rich and famous i am"....so the ..."I showed the bullies"... routine makes it seem less like bragging, but STILL gets people to dwell on their success.

    God im good.

I went to a fairly tough school and some of the bullying was dreadful, I saw people singled out for very little reason, one day they were one of the lads the next their lives were a misery. And I ain't kidding, it seriously ruined people for life.

There's no 'answer' to it, some people are simply ****s and always will be.

Fair play to these celebs who own up to it I say... in boxing, and in places like Peckham (I say that because Rio Ferdinand is another involved in anti-bullying campaigns) admitting you were buillied is probably a real no-no

"Fair play" to them?:huhIts practically mandatory these days...the celeb bully story.
    So you believe them all?:nut

Oh, i went to an all boys School in Toxteth Liverpool, very rough,so i know the effects of bullying.
I just know most celebs embellish their life stories with these tales.
Some have been exposed as BS.
Also who didnt at least have a few dodgy days at school?
    We all did.

That would explain many thinks about Calzaghe.

Very impressed with him for speaking out about it so frankly.

My opinion of him has just gone up a couple of notches.

    Well done, Joe.:happy

Yeah, but not everyone who had a few dodgy days at school cried themselves to sleep night after night because they had been so badly traumatised...;)

...and for top boxers it's not cool to admit that kind of thing...so, I must disagree with you here, sd...now, if we were talking about some Vanessa Pheltz (Sp?) type person, then yeah, I'd agree...but in this case...nah...

A bully should be tortured in my opinion. A good old dose of the Jack Bauer.

I'd love to know what your point is.

I fully believe Joe and Ferdinand as it happens. And where I'm from, fessing up about something like this is pretty taboo. Which is the whole point I suppose.

The rest I don't know about, I don't immerse myself in celeb nonsense to be honest, like you appear to.
